pmp pearson vue online exam not started after check in process using mac

I was scheduled to take the exam today(12/22) @ 2:45pm EST. I finished my check in process (submitted pictures) and was just waiting for the proctor to start the exam. when an error popped that exam could be loaded. when i clicked the support chat, the spinning wheel icon started. after waiting about more than 15mins i think(since my watch & phone is more than an arm length away) and no proctor called i rebooted my mac and also searched for another pearson vue support using my phone since the chat window up to now(5:34EST) is still connecting and waiting for a agent to reply, luckily i was able to file a case using my phone. now the challenge is if i can still re-schedule for the exam before the year ends. anybody here experienced re-scheduling their online exam?

I had the same issue when I took my exam this week, however I was not using a MAC. It also froze on me during the exam and I had to wait for a relaunch for about 10 minutes. I probably lost about 30 minutes of exam time.

I had the same issue with the proctor not showing up on Dec 21st. I waited for about an hour. I too opened a case and called customer support. They were able to assist me through my problem but there are no windows left for the existing PMP so I will be taking the new one.

So it’s not just me, I hope they have a good RCA why this happened, I guess when I re-schedule it will be in the testing center next year.

I had the same issue with the proctor not showing up on Dec 21st. I waited for about an hour. I too opened a case and called customer support. They were able to assist me through my problem but there are no windows left for the existing PMP so I will be taking the new one.
So it’s not just me, I hope they have a good RCA why this happened, I guess when I re-schedule it will be in the testing center next year.

Yes, it seems like this issue is prevalent. I was scheduled to take my exam on 12/24/2020 at 5:45 pm CST. I checked in at 5:00 pm CST and completed the process in about 15 minutes. I was seated there until 5:58pm then I started a chat following the error banner. There were no agents to respond, it kept saying « agents assisting other members ». At 6:10pm or just there about I got a pop up and it was a proctor finalizing my check in. From there I was able to start my exam.
I was so worried that I wasn’t going to be able to do my exam but thank God it all worked out good.

This was a nerve-racking experience. I guess your pearson vue app did not freeze that is why the proctor was still able to start your exam. Congrats for passing the PMP exam!

The same issue happened to me. I am using a Mac and ensured all the requirements mentioned in the guide were met. However, just before the final check, the screen froze, displaying the message "Hmm... this is unusual" and the "Close and Relaunch" screen. The mouse pointer showed a spinning wheel (this has only happened about three times since I got the laptop). I encountered the same issue with two different proctors. One of the proctors provided me with a case number, and 10 minutes later, I received an email informing me that my exam had been canceled. I tried contacting Pearson technical support, but reaching them has been very difficult... This experience was truly upsetting and disappointing for me.

Hola, estoy esperando como 20 minutos ya desde mi hora de exameny no aparece el proctor, solo aparece que estoy en cola en el numero 223 y se actualiza muy lentamente desde que inicio en la 233 , no estoy segura hasta que hora deba esperar e incluso no debo acceder a mi telefono, como me contacto con el soporte?
