Is anyone else getting the run around on DASM renewal? I've completed my PDU's and paid my renewal fee over a month ago and it is still pending. I've made hours worth of phone calls, gotten different answers at every step. I've sent emails phone calls, live chats. Everyone at PMI seems to be confused by the DASM renewal process. Is this happening to anyone else? Saving Changes...
Please allow 3-5 days for a follow is my latest response. After I ordered the renewal on April 15th. and was told it would be resolved in 48 hours a few days after that when I called. PMI really doesn't care.
Best to call them directly, and keep calling if it's not resolved. Like with trying to get a response from someone on a project team, once you start consuming enough of their time, it becomes in their best interest to resolve the issue.
They are very responsive when they want your money. They resolved their payment system fairly quickly so they could accept my payment.
They are not at all responsive when it comes to meeting their own contractual obligations. This I have learned through experience. At some point it becomes a breach of contract issue. Saving Changes...

I certainly have a different opinion. I think they are doign their best to accomodate people but its tough on everyone during this pandemic.
I personally found PMI very responsive and helpful over the phone. As for e-mails, the problem with that is everytime you answer, most of the times, a different person will answer and they don't really read previous correspondence.
I recently encountered an issue with one of my certifications and after lots of frustration over emails, I phoned in and they were extremely helpful and sorted the issue on the spot.
I've sent a link to this thread to a couple of key senior contacts at PMI and hoping they will either respond directly to you OR in this thread.

I’m a product manager with the Certification team and wanted to weigh in. I’m sorry to hear about this frustrating experience. The DASM renewal is now set up through the myPMI dashboard, and you should be able to renew at any point in the cycle. The issue you encountered has been reported to our technical team. I’ll be coordinating with them to make sure this gets resolved for you as quickly as possible and will reach out to you directly with updates. Saving Changes...

Thank you everyone for your posts.
The issue was resolved today. The actual customer service people were incredibly nice throughout, they have a hard job. However, the process to a resolution was similar to a root canal. The issue was not escalated to the appropriate managers until I started this post. So take that for what you will. Saving Changes...
What is your renewal date? Did you do the DASM recently or were you grandfathered in from the CDA credential?
In my case, my DALSM was grandfathered over to DASSM and they pushed the renewal date to February of next year.
I do know that there were initial challenges with the renewal process resulting from the integration of DA certs into PMI's systems but I thought those had been resolved...

Hi Kiron?
Do you know if there is already a defined date for the DASSM exam in Spanish?
Best regards Saving Changes...
I realize this thread has to do with DASM renewal; however, I can't seem to establish my certification. I took the exam on 11/30 (which PearsonVue reps confirmed) and have been receiving the runaround by PMI Customer Service, both telephonically and via email, since then. I received an email last night from Customer Service which was for a different member and situation. Very frustrating and welcome suggestions for resolution. Saving Changes...
Is this for a DA certification? If you have passed the exam and haven't received confirmation of your DASM or DASSM certification, then you could send an e-mail to [email protected].
