In this edition of the PMBOK Guide there is not a word about the skills of the Project Manager

Did the talent triangle (to which digital skills were added) remain in the drawer?

Dear Muhammad
Thank you for your comment.
What specific "project performance domain" are you referring to?

Good observation, Luis. While there isn't an explicit section the way there is for the sponsor or PMOs, the competencies required to be a successful PM are reflected throughout the Standard and the Guide (more the former). Readers just need to work harder to get the info :-)

Dear Kiron
Thank you for participating in this reflection on the PMBOK Guide 7th Edition
I've been looking at PMIstandards+
A brief reference is made to the talent triangle (without any reference to digital skills) included in the 6th edition.
Appendix 3 of the PMBOK Guide 7th edition is dedicated to PMO'S
I remembered our conversations about Daniel Pink and Intrinsic versus Extrinsic Motivation.
It is suggested in the PMBOK Guide 7th Edition in "Mapping of Models Likely to Be Used in Each Performance Domain".
Not a word about psychological safety :-)

Luis, agree.

I am not so concerned though, as the PMBoK Guide always was a part of the technical PM corner of the talent triangle.

The leadership skills are described in the team performance domain (and are recommended for all members) and are to a certain extend different to those in ed6.

Think the role of the PM is somehow a victim of the shift towards agile thinking, which prefers to focus on the team. The downside I see with that is that it hampers the building of a profession, the value of the PMP, and alienates all those who are in charge of projects. Know your stakeholders.

Dear Thomas

For me, a big change happened when PMI included the skills that make up the Talent Triangle as the skills that project managers should possess.
And when PMI most recently included digital skills
Some time ago I created a topic about self-managed teams and their implications for the project management profession.
It makes sense what you wrote.

Agreed - I called out the lack of any explicit references to psychological safety in a tweet and later a blog article I'd written about the guide. At least the DA folks have given it the appropriate level of importance in their work!
