Are there specific knowledge domains that are more aligned with Disciplined Agile compared to some other PM approaches? How do these domains of knowledge inform the differences in the approaches?

Product management might be more closely aligned with DA than traditional PM, but there is very close alignment between the ideas in the PMBOK Guide, Seventh Edition and the principles of DA.

Thank you, Kiron. I understand that there is nothing new with this methodology, in terms of content, or maybe so. Please correct me if wrong.

DA is NOT a methodology, it is a toolkit. I'd consider "what's new" to be the curation of a good, comprehensive set of life cycles, roles, and practices which can be applied to fit most contexts.

I used DA from "the genesis", the time it was created, up to time before it was acquired by the PMI. I will use it for software and non-software solutions, where solution is equal to product plus process to create the product. DA helped me as an "umbrella" to implement and use other methods/frameworks under the umbrella. The same for FLEX. I think today, after acquiring by the PMI, DA becomes too complex. But perhaps, just my perception because I said I am not using it for a while. My recommendation is taken a closer look to FLEX. In my personal opinion the future is there mainly to integrate with lot of things which are in the market today.

Thanks Sergio and Kiron for those helpful suggestions for my understanding.

it can be hard to align the outputs of an adaptive project phase with the inputs of a more sequential phase. For example an iterative design phase provides info to a more sequential procurement phase. Any suggestions on how to synchronize these so the sequential phase is not imposing its approach on the agile adaptive phase.
