Core values are the essence of a company’s identity.
Establishing core values is a crucial part of every organization. It is what supports the vision and shape the organizations culture.
On a similar token PMO must develop a set of key core values to drive the Program Management Organization, which complements the organizations Vision & Mission.
In your opinion what are the key Core Values to drive a successful PMO? Saving Changes...

Dear Bilal,
focusing on program management is a nice thinking exercise. It has to be adapted to the situation at though. Context matters.
For the exercise, given the performance domains of the PgMP Standard, I would suggest to set as values and beliefs supportive ideas. So, for example
- stakeholder engagement supported by the values of honesty and respect and the belief that we can influence them to reach the highest value for them
- benefits realization supported by the value of responsibility and the belief that a benefit is one in the perspective of the stakeholder
- strategy alignment supported by the belief in adaptive adjustment to changing environment and strategy
The PMI Code of Ethics is based on the 4 human values of respect, responsibility, fairness and honesty.
The Core values you mentioned are PMI's corporate values (and most of them are indeed not values but beliefs) from the Strategic Plan. They tell us how PMI intends to act and behave.
Values and beliefs are different in many ways, values unite, beliefs divide for example. Take PM impact - it is not proven that PM has impact (PMI tried to prove it but failed for many years) but most of us belief in it. Values are felt by humans and create positive and negative feelings if violated or met.
BTW the strive for achievement, to cherish hard work and results is a belief especially found in some, albeit dominant cultures, and not in others like Latin America or Spain/Italy (catholic). Basanez calls this the culture of achievement and contrasts this with the culture of honor (Islamic, Hindu) and also recognized the culture of joy as inbetween.
