Dear PMI professionals

I want to find out how many Units which managed to complete projects using pmbok guide framework.

I had emailed to pmi and their staff simply invited to research with their search engines. I regarded that PMI did not have this research findings.

Secondly, I drafted several letters to ask Hong Kong government, the Architectural Services Department. Because I live in HK. Again, their Professional and Clerical staff said no.

I had checked on google, simply only NIH had used per pmbok guide 5. And some templates are available. Then almost no other pmbok guide templates are available.

PMI Standard plus also currently does not contain full set of examples / templates. I need to ask: what are we doing everyday?

regards
Calvin

Pmbok guides use so many documents to run a project. I sometimes doubt how many of us really use them? I know that HK government likes to use lots of folders, files to manage the city. As a result, lots of policies are not down to earth. Bureaucrat governs documents instead of the city.
All you can see inside the PMBOK Guide is just a guide and documents, including it proposed content, is a proposal not something that has to be used. What knowledge areas, process, documents to use depends on the governance model you need to put in place. And to decide this an enterprise analysis/needs analysis has to be done. This tasks belongs to business analysis and the names varies if you take the PMI or the IIBA guide to understand how to do that.
