Good day, I am about to take on the series of PMI courses through CSPS. There are 16 modules. How are these applicable to any of the certificates/certifications?

Fabiola -

The write-up refers to claiming PDUs which is done after you have earned a PMI credential. These would all be applicable, for example, to gaining PDUs for renewing your PMP, whereas some (risk related) would be applicable for renewing a PMI-RMP.

They may also be considered eligible as "contact hours" to meet the educational prerequisites of a PMI certification, but if your application was to get audited you would want to ensure there was sufficient justifiable evidence to provide that these are, in fact, "real" courses.

You better look for Prep courses. As Kiron mentioned, most of them are for PDUs.

Fabiola,

Kiron's feedback is spot on. If CSPS are an PMI ATP then you shouldn't have a problem.

Rami, CSPS is the school. Skillsoft, PMI ATP #1008, is the course provider.

Hi Fabiola Bince, CSPS courses satisfy the PDU hours for continuing certification renewal process but they are not enough for the contact hours to submit with your certification application.

if you are familiar with Udemy there are some 35 hour courses that go regularly on sale which you can take, I took joseph phillips course and Andrew Ramadayl which were good.

While the sixteen 1-hour courses from CSPS are not sufficient, they do have the advantage of being free for federal public servants. It may make sense for Fabian to simply supplement for the remaining contact hours.

I doubt that the CSPS PDU hours will complement the 35 contact hour for the certification requirement

Why not, Ali? Skillsoft, a PMI ATP, is the course provider. The Handbook specifies you can get your contact hours from a PMI REP/ATP.
