Yes, the newest version of the PMBOK guide does not necessarily change the concepts from PMBOK 6. The information is presented in a different way. There are no plans to migrate to a PMBOK 7 based exam in the near future.

Thank you Glenn. I GREATLY appreciate knowing this. When it changed January 1st this year, it was a tremendous shock because I had only had the PMBOK 6th Edition while at Kennesaw State University in Jan-April 2020. This will help me focus differently now. Vicki

You can take any type of formal PM training to make up the 35 contact hours for the PMP credential. It does not need to be a prep course. Kiron

PMI are taking more of an agile approach this time and they will start injecting new questions all the time and it will be the candidate responsibility to study from the list of suggested resources. From now till December I personally don't anticipate much of the PMBOK 7th edition will be included but be aware of the fact that, as far as I heard, 45% of the exam is Agile related. Good Luck. Rami, Thank you so very much for your input. I found out the hard way about Agile being on the exam. The extensively long, wordy, situational questions challenged me also.
