Work can consume you. It can be difficult to disconnect and find time to take care of yourself. What types of things do you do to take care of yourself and your mental health, physical health, and emotional health?

Great question, Angela, especially when our devices and flexible working options make it possible for our employers to find us 24x7!
A few things I've done in the past (prior to semi-retiring :-) ) were:
- Prioritize your health first. That means ensuring you get sufficient sleep, exercise and eat well and walk away from jobs which would impact those.
- Give back. It's a great way to re-energize oneself.
- Learn something new every day. Same comment as for my previous suggestion.
- Cultivate hobbies outside of the work you do.

Great suggestions, Kiron. I need to learn to prioritize my health. I also need to learn to say no. I love that so many people are comfortable reaching out to me for support, guidance, and assistance. However, I need to learn to take care of myself first.

Great topic. I personally say I will take care of my mental and physical health and always get carried away with work and stress but this year I promised to start working on it as of March.
The "how" is a plan in progress.

Rami,
The "how" is the question. I am always going to start tomorrow and every day I forget to disconnect from work and the night rolls back around. I also need to start and figure out my "how'. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we treated ourselves as our most important project?

" How" .. This is a major question for the most of us. But we have to. I think that starting with meditation at the day end or at the start of the day is a good idea.

Dear Angela
The topic that you brought to our reflection and debate was very interesting.
The human being is a whole.
It is considered to have 4 dimensions: Physical, Emotional (relationship with yourself and others), Intellectual and Spiritual
It is important that you develop activities so that these 4 dimensions are developed and simultaneously

Luis,
So true, we often ignore parts of the whole. For any system to operate properly, attention needs to be given to the entire system and its environment. I often ignore the emotional aspect of my entire being. I love your holistic view of 'the individual".
