We have a small development team that is more agile than waterfall. In fact, none of our projects are waterfall. We identify up front the value the customer is looking for and develop features for the apps based on what they need first. Our team is collaborative and reactive, meaning that they respond to customer needs and it works well. Our timelines are based on an upfront delivery schedule the customer provides. If we can't make that timeline based on other projects or dependencies, we establish the next best timeline and it works for the customer. Given this and after watching a couple of DA WoW videos and reading many articles, I believe that DA and WoW will work best for our team. What is my next step to get everyone on board? My thought is to watch an introduction video, but training would be good. Can we jump into DA WoW without formal Agile training? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that people used DA WoW approaches before or without Agile training. (I would go further and say they used it before it was recognized as such!) Training is only a tool to speed up the collection/retention of knowledge. Go for it!

While you could just read CYW, there is a fair bit of benefit getting training from a seasoned DA practitioner as applying the toolkit effectively does take practice. For example, making decisions about which process goals to focus on given your team's context can be challenging without knowing how to go about it efficiently.

There are a variety of DA training options ranging from self-paced to in-person courses, so I'd suggest investigating which might be the best option for your team.

When I was facilitating the rollout of DA across TD Bank in Canada, I personally trained over 500 practitioners in a two day workshop based on the old DA courseware (pre-PMI acquisition) and it did help to ensure that folks knew what to do once they returned to their teams.
