I usually start with the generic Google search engine (scholarly articles on XYZ) and it will return results from sources listed by Cian and others such as ResearchGate. One of the nice things about being a student, is you have the credentials to access many scholarly sources that are not necessarily available to the general public without a fee. Saving Changes...
With a project-focus, you could use PMI's search engine on their site and focus on articles from PM Journal which would be the refereed ones...
