Hello, PMI community. I am new to PM, and I just wanted to know what information you found helpful (or would have found helpful) during your first year of project management. Any lessons learned and shared are appreciated! Saving Changes...

Kayla,
Don't be shy to ask, this is your time to ask questions and learn as much as you possibly can and try to be be hands-on to learn the details of how things are done so you can be able to efficiently manage in the future.
On another note, I advise you to work on your professional development in parallel with your work experience.
Hope this makes sense.
Good Luck,
RK

I'd add - never lose sight of the business case supporting a project's existence. It is too easy to get tunnel vision as far as scope, schedule and cost goes, but if you forget WHY we are doing a given project you could end up with the "operation was a success but the patient died" outcome!
