Over the years, I found that knowledge sharing is best accomplished through real-time digital communication tools like PMIS. You can put your own KPIs to define success and measure against it.
For example , how many users access the system, how often, is the team using latest documents, and so on.
- providing guidance materials like SOPs, checklists, process flow diagrams etc.
- encouraging knowledge sharing activities like training & mentoring, workshops, review meetings, retrospectives
- ensuring transparency by placing the entire team on the same digital platform (PMIS, as described by Rami above)
To measure whether your scheme is working or not, you can take help of approaches such as performance assessments (smaple checking the work done), observation, reverse shadowing, face-to-face interactions, surveys (polls, questionnaires), etc. Saving Changes...

knowledge sharing is supported by a mindset of making your knowledge available and used by others. A policy, process, system or tool is not enough. And you cannot codify tacit knowledge.
Yet I have seen metrics like reuse and timesavings.

To help switch the mindset, it is best to put knowledge sharing into the performance metrics. If my performance is going to be assessed based on my knowledge sharing, then I will make sure to do it. Saving Changes...
