What resources are there online to learn more about Primavera P6 and gain a basic understanding of the software?
Any FREE or introductory course or overviews would be much appreciated. I would really like to get to grips with what Primavera can do and its key areas of functionality.

There is even some free fundamentals training on Udemy, but before taking some lessons on how to operate the system, I would spend your time researching the capabilities of the software itself. You won't get that perspective from learning how to perform basic tasks.
Oracle of course has information available since they sell the product. To get a more rounded perspective, there are a variety of sources describing the capabilities and tradeoffs between alternative programs.
