Hi, during the last year, I completed several projects and I would like to earn PDUs. As I understood,
I can apply for a maximum of 8 PDUs, is that correct? Can I apply for 8 PDUs for one project? Do I need to count one hour per PDU? Could you please explain this to me

The number of PDUs claimed once per cycle should be equivalent to the time you were actively working within the profession. For example:
- If you were actively working within the profession for the entire 3 years of your certification cycle, the maximum allowable PDU value can be claimed (8 for PMP, PgMP, PfMP, and PMI-PBA; 4 for PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP)
- If you were actively working within the profession for half of your certification cycle, half of the maximum allowable PDU value can be claimed (4 for PMP, PgMP, PfMP, and PMI-PBA; 2 for PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP)

The max. number of PDUs you can earn by working on a project is 8 for PMP.

I’ve claimed 8 PDUs as per my experience which got approved as well, however, those are not appearing in my dashboard for PMP. These are appearing in PgMP only. What may be the issue?

The 8 PDUs are per recertification cycle and not per year. There is no direct conversion from hours worked to these 8 hours - you just claim them as a practitioner. This is different than educational PDUs where you'd normally claim 1 PDU per hour of learning.

By working in your certified role, you can earn PDUs by applying your knowledge and skills in a practical setting. If you are working in a project management-related role, you can earn up to 8 PDUs as working as a practitioner. However, it has a limitation. PMI accepts a maximum of 8 PDUs in a three-year cycle for the work as a practitioner category.
