What is the actual pass rate for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam, and how does it vary based on different factors? Saving Changes...
According to google, there are a few exam prep and training providers who give anecdotal statements that "60% of people pass" the PMP exam. Anything beyond that is likely speculation, so it's difficult to say what the factors are that would affect that.

Thbis is pretty much outdated and relies on information back in time, before PMI made the chage to the so called "psychometric sound system".
My understanding is that questions are weighted based on their difficulty so passing is not based on getting a specific number of questions correct.

That’s what I know too, Keith. The passing score is determined by several factors of which one of the is the exam difficulty of the individual because the questions are formulated randomly from a huge pool of questions.

Rather than being concerned about pass rate, which is the outcome of others, you should equip yourself. The test questions and answers are designed so you cannot buzzword pattern match. Many of the questions if reworded (or read differently than written) could make any of the answers correct. It is key to be prepared through consistent study, having proper rest (the week) prior to test day, and considering it a review of what you know rather than an exam.

Thanks Michael, getting motivation from you guys really helps. I was thinking about joining the online training program which will cost me few dollars. I did found one course but was not sure if i could go for it.
