My name is Mohammad Shahid Rashid, and I currently serve as a Senior Compliance Technology and IT Project Manager, leading regulatory transformation, automation initiatives, and risk‑mitigation programs within the financial services sector. My work focuses on aligning technology delivery with governance standards, ensuring operational integrity, and enabling organizations to meet evolving regulatory expectations.
From an early age, I was drawn to roles that required structure, problem‑solving, and leadership. Although I did not yet understand the discipline of project management, I was naturally inclined toward organizing tasks, coordinating people, and creating clarity in complex situations. Over time, these interests matured into a professional path centered on technology‑driven project leadership.
In my current role, I work extensively with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Confluence, and Power BI, which support transparency, traceability, and data‑driven decision‑making. I am also expanding my expertise in cloud governance and AI‑enabled project delivery, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, as these capabilities are increasingly essential for modern program leadership.
My journey into project management was shaped by the opportunity to bridge business, technology, and regulatory functions. What has kept me committed to this profession is the ability to deliver meaningful outcomes—transforming ambiguity into structured execution, enabling cross‑functional alignment, and ensuring that critical initiatives are delivered with quality and accountability.
Among my proudest accomplishments is leading several high‑impact compliance and AML transformation programs for major financial institutions. These initiatives not only strengthened regulatory posture but also improved operational resilience and customer trust. On a personal level, I take equal pride in maintaining a strong balance between my professional responsibilities and my role as an engaged parent, particularly in supporting my daughter Nimrah’s academic and personal development.
I am pleased to join the PMI community and look forward to contributing to discussions, learning from fellow practitioners, and advancing excellence in project and program management.
Welcome to PMI's online community Mohammad Shahid Rashid! Thanks for joining us; you're certainly in the right place! Saving Changes...

Hi Johanne, thanks for joining us in PMI's online community! Welcome!
Looking forward to learning from you as well - see you around the online community.
I need guidance and help. I have been searching for a career for some time now. I got my degree in cybersecurity and now I'm getting my masters in project management. I worked disaster recovery and loved it. So I wanted to transition into a role that would require more from me that is why I decided to get my Masters in project management. However the disaster recovery was temp position and there were not many disasters (which of course was wonderful this year). I just need help or guidance. I have just had a really hard time finding a path through education so far. I don't want to make excuses it has to be something I am doing at the end of the day. Does anyone have any advice they can give me or help leading me in a forward direction. I hate to be forward, but right now I'm working for Amazon as a delivery driver. I just want something more career-oriented and in my general direction of my degrees. I have gotten some certs as well my security comp Tia plus and think in of getting beginning cert got project management.

HASSAN RAMIPM Consultant| APTIVHargeville, Île-de-France, IDF, France
Hi everyone I’m Rami, a Project Manager with nearly 13 years of experience, mainly in the automotive industry. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow through different roles, including BOM Engineer, Launch Manager, Manufacturing Manager, and Industrial Project Manager. These experiences have given me a global vision of projects , from design to industrialization. I’m a people-oriented and collaborative professional. I strongly believe that the best results come from meaningful discussions, where each person brings their perspective and added value to the table. Connecting people and creating the right environment for collaboration is something I genuinely enjoy. Outside of work, I’m deeply connected to nature. Hiking and mountain climbing are more than hobbies for me , they are ways to stay grounded, disciplined, and aligned. I pay close attention to preserving nature as I find it, with respect and responsibility. I’m also involved in voluntary initiatives, leading awareness sessions for students on the importance of protecting our planet. Passing on these values is, for me, a duty as much as a commitment. 🌍 Projects, people, nature — these are the pillars that guide both my professional and personal journey.
