Hi everyone! My name is Martin Romero, and I currently work as an IT Project Manager. Growing up, I always wanted to be an entrepreneur or work in business and today, as a Project Manager, I feel closely connected to that world, doing what I truly love. When it comes to tools, I find Jira really useful for daily task management, and the whole Office/Microsoft 365 environment has also been a great support in my day-to-day work.
What drew me to project management is the ability to make things happen, guiding a team toward a goal, bringing order to what was disorganized, and supporting people through their processes. That, combined with being close to the business side, is what keeps me engaged in this industry.
As for accomplishments, on a personal level my family is my greatest value building it has been one of the most beautiful things in my life. Professionally, I'm proud of having grown steadily in each of my jobs, taking on important projects early in my career, and having earned my PMP certification along the way.
Looking forward to connecting with all of you! Saving Changes...
My name is Derron McCreath. I live in Brampton, Ontario, and have over 15 years of experience leading business operations, and organizational transformation across government (Jamaica) and international organizations.
I recently earned my PMP certification and am currently exploring Project Coordinator opportunities in the GTA. I am looking forward to learning from, connecting with, and supporting fellow project management professionals.
Looking forward to engaging with the PMI community!
I'm Melissa Fuentes, a PMP®-certified Project Manager based in Puerto Rico. My background spans more than 15 years across project management, commercial operations, business development, and marketing, where I've led initiatives in media, healthcare, consumer goods, food & beverage, and professional sports. I enjoy combining strategic thinking with execution to help organizations deliver meaningful business results.
Growing up, I was always drawn to the business world and fascinated by how ideas become reality. I enjoyed thinking about ways to improve processes, solve real problems, and create value for people. Looking back, those interests naturally led me to project management, where I found the perfect balance between strategic thinking, execution, and collaboration.
Over the years, I've worked with tools like Basecamp, Asana, Trello, and CRM platforms. More recently, I've integrated ChatGPT and Claude into my daily workflow to support planning, research, communication, and problem-solving. I see AI as an enhancer that amplifies our capabilities as project professionals, helping us make more informed decisions, strengthen collaboration, and dedicate more of our time and energy to strategic thinking, leadership, and delivering value. I'm excited to continue exploring how AI can help project teams work smarter and achieve even better outcomes.
What I love most about project management is the opportunity to bring structure to complexity. I enjoy connecting strategy with execution, aligning people around a common goal, and helping ideas become reality. Every project is an opportunity to learn, grow, and create meaningful value for organizations and the people they serve.
One of my proudest professional accomplishments is earning my PMP® certification. It represents years of experience, disciplined preparation, and a commitment to continuous learning. More than the certification itself, I'm proud of having the resilience to navigate different industries and challenges while continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
I'm excited to be part of this community, learn from your experiences, exchange ideas, and connect with project professionals from around the world. I look forward to learning from all of you, sharing my experiences, and contributing wherever I can. Saving Changes...
Hello folks, my name is Pawan and I am from Mumbai, India. Currently I am working as a manager in commercial team. I am working in real estate and our company is building one of the luxurious, high-rise real estate projects in the India.
We are using SAP system mainly for cost control and apart from that we are like a hybrid project with major orientation towards waterfall method of approach.
I am not sure about my field in childhood but while growing up I found lot of fascination towards numbers and that's how I got in cost management prospectus. It gave you respect and as you all know with great power comes great responsibility. Responsibility of transparency, alertness and interaction with people. I want to be a T shaped specialist and learn alot of different projects. One of the challenges I faced was when there is a structure change in tax and we need to do billing in two different tax regimes and with support and guidance of my team I am able to do that. Now I am working on another big project and enjoying sometime tense about challenges faced.
Apart from that I want to learn more about AI in professional and personal life. Thank you for your support and guidance. Saving Changes...

My name is Caroline de Souza, and I am a Project Manager and Digital Transformation Consultant. I help organizations turn complex ideas into structured, scalable initiatives by combining project management, marketing strategy, business operations, and AI-enabled transformation.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Growing up, I dreamed of becoming either a teacher or an astronaut. Looking back, I realize both aspirations had something in common: a passion for learning, exploring new possibilities, and helping others grow. Those values continue to shape my career today.
What are your favorite project management tools and technologies? Or ones that you'd like to learn more about?
I enjoy using Kanban because it provides clear visibility into priorities, work in progress, and team collaboration. While I believe tools are important, I see project management as being more about people, communication, and delivering value than about any specific platform.
What drew you to the project management industry? What's kept you in it?
I began my career in journalism and corporate communications before moving into marketing agencies, retail, manufacturing, and consulting. Although my job titles changed over the years, one thing remained constant: I was always leading projects.
From marketing campaigns and digital transformation initiatives to process improvements and cross-functional programs, I discovered that what I enjoy most is bringing people together, solving complex problems, and turning strategy into execution. Pursuing the PMP certification is a natural step to formally recognize the project management experience I've built throughout my career.
What's your proudest accomplishment (personal or professional)?
Professionally, I'm proud of contributing to projects that created measurable business impact, including supporting the launch of one of Latin America's largest logistics complexes and helping dozens of B2B and B2C organizations improve their operations, digital presence, and business performance.
Personally, earning my first university degree remains one of my greatest achievements. My father always reminded me that education is something no one can ever take away from us, and that belief continues to guide my commitment to lifelong learning, including pursuing the PMP certification. Another unforgettable milestone was presenting live on national television in Brazil, an experience that strengthened my confidence and reinforced my belief that, with preparation and persistence, I can achieve any goal I set for myself. YASER FAREA ALI AHMED ALMAQRAMIProjects Manager| SAS CONSTRACTIONAL AMEER FUAZ AL AMEER FUAZ JEDDAH Makkah al Mukarramah 22233, Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia
Hello, I'm Yaser Al-Maqrami, a Yemeni Project Manager currently based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. If someone had told me at the beginning of my career that I would one day be leading complex infrastructure programs, managing high-value contracts, and guiding multidisciplinary teams instead of focusing solely on construction sites, I probably would have smiled in disbelief. Yet that journey has defined who I am today. I am a PMP-certified Project Manager and Senior Civil Engineer with more than 20 years of experience delivering major infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Throughout my career, I have been privileged to contribute to projects that directly improve communities by providing essential services and sustainable infrastructure. My professional journey began in the field, where I gained firsthand experience in construction execution and site management. As my career evolved, so did my responsibilities.. from supervising engineering activities to leading project delivery, managing contracts, mitigating risks, coordinating stakeholders, and driving strategic decision-making throughout the entire project lifecycle. Over the years, I have managed and delivered a wide range of infrastructure projects, including water transmission pipelines, water distribution networks, sewerage systems, pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, and road projects. I have also contributed to several of Saudi Arabia's landmark giga projects, including infrastructure developments in Qiddiya (KSA) and pumping station projects in NEOM (KSA), ensuring delivery aligned with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual commitments. Beyond project execution, I have built strong expertise in FIDIC contract administration, claims management, risk management, procurement coordination, quality assurance, change management, and stakeholder engagement. I believe that successful projects are not driven by technical expertise alone.. they are built on leadership, collaboration, proactive planning, and the ability to transform challenges into opportunities. Earning the PMP-Project Management Professional certification reinforced my commitment to continuous learning and professional excellence. However, what continues to inspire me every day is not the certification or the title. It is the opportunity to lead teams, solve complex problems, and deliver projects that create lasting value for organizations and improve the lives of the people they serve. For me, project management is more than delivering a project successfully.. it's about building trust, empowering people, and leaving a meaningful legacy through every project I lead. Eng.
