Eric Rosa Atlanta, United States
I'm Eric Rosa, and I am currently a transitioning Army officer.

When I was growing up, I wanted to be in the military. I completed my goal a week after high school, but it took me 20 years to move.

I am new to PMI, but I have used various tools in the Army. I am not sure how they translate to the civilian world, but I am here to find out.

I get a great deal of satisfaction from completing a project. When you are given an ambiguous task and are able to deliver a product on time and under budget, it is always a great experience.

As a soldier with 20 years of service, I would say graduating from the US Army Ranger School. They say that it's not for the weak or fainthearted. I can agree with that.
Hello everyone,

I am Anup, Singaporean, project management professional with more than four decades of experience across hyperscale data center, oil and gas, utilities, water and wastewater treatment, semiconductor facilities and other complex industrial infrastructure. Most recently, I served as Project Manager (MEICA) on a major water-treatment plant upgrading project in Singapore.

Growing up, I was fascinated by how engineering could transform ideas into practical and valuable assets. This interest led me to study mechanical engineering and subsequently build my career in engineering and project management.

My preferred project management tools and practices include Work Breakdown Structures, critical-path scheduling, risk and opportunity registers, cost forecasting, earned-value analysis, stakeholder mapping and RACI matrices. I also value BIM and digital collaboration tools such as Navisworks. Looking ahead, I am particularly interested in the application of AI, advanced data analytics and digital twins in project planning, risk management and decision-making.

What drew me to project management was the opportunity to bring together engineering, people, commercial considerations and execution strategy to transform complex concepts into safe, reliable and operational assets. What has kept me in the profession is that every project presents a unique combination of technical challenges, stakeholder expectations and opportunities to learn.

My proudest professional accomplishment was contributing to the successful integration of the two-heritage Exxon and Mobil lubricant-blending plants in Singapore. The assignment required the alignment of different facilities, systems, operational practices and stakeholder expectations following the merger. It remains a particularly meaningful achievement in my career.

Another personally satisfying extension of my professional journey has been applying my engineering and project experience to the study of the semiconductor and data-center industries and to making informed investments in these sectors. I enjoy conducting in-depth research to identify emerging technologies, industry trends and companies with strong long-term growth potential.

I am especially excited by the rapid development of artificial intelligence and its potential to improve productivity, accelerate innovation and enable more efficient utilization of energy and other precious resources.

I look forward to learning from fellow professionals, exchanging practical experiences and contributing to meaningful discussions within PMI’s global online community.

Claudia Goncalves PM II| Blank IT Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil
I’m Claudia Gonçalves, and I work as a Senior IT Project Manager & PMO Specialist.
While my aspirations evolved over time, building and organizing complex initiatives always came naturally to me. Today, my primary drive is to serve as a benchmark and thought leader within the global PMO community.
My go-to tools are MS Project, Jira, Microsoft Planner, and Generative AI platforms like Claude. Looking forward, I’m keen to dive deeper into autonomous AI agents to streamline repetitive governance workflows, enabling PMOs and project managers to operate with greater predictability, efficiency, and focus.
What drew me to project management was the challenge of turning complex, high-stakes technical uncertainty into structured, predictable execution. What keeps me in it is the direct business impact—whether modernizing critical ERP systems for global automotive leaders or orchestrating secure cloud and infrastructure transformations with cross-functional teams.
My proudest professional accomplishment is actively reinventing my governance toolkit through applied AI. Integrating Generative AI into enterprise risk modeling and portfolio reporting allowed me to modernize my 18+ year career, bridging traditional governance rigor with cutting-edge technological innovation.

Greetings Everyone, I’m Abbas. My background is in Quantity Surveying, and I have close to a decade of experience spanning construction consultancy, construction delivery, and real estate development. I currently work as a Lead Quantity Surveyor, where I oversee the QS function and contribute to the commercial and project management of various construction projects. Growing up, I wanted to become an engineer. I have always been interested in how buildings and infrastructure are designed, constructed, and transformed from an idea into something tangible. Although I eventually pursued Quantity Surveying, I found that it gave me an opportunity to combine my interest in construction with cost management, contracts, procurement, and project delivery. My journey into project management has been a natural progression from Quantity Surveying. Working closely with project teams exposed me to the broader aspects of project delivery, including planning, budgeting, procurement, cost control, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and contract administration. What has kept me interested in the industry is the dynamic nature of construction projects and the opportunity to solve problems, manage resources, and contribute to successful project outcomes. When it comes to project management tools and technologies, Microsoft Excel remains one of my favorites, particularly for budgeting, cost planning, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, and project monitoring. I am also interested in learning more about project management software, data analytics, dashboards, BIM, and other digital construction technologies that can improve project efficiency and decision-making. One of my proudest professional accomplishments has been progressing from a Quantity Surveyor into a leadership role where I now coordinate and support a QS team while managing commercial responsibilities across multiple projects. Personally, I am proud of my continuous growth and my commitment to developing myself professionally while contributing meaningfully to the projects and teams I work with. Outside work, I enjoy travelling, watching documentaries particularly those related to history, architecture, and how things are made and spending time with family and friends. I’m also passionate about continuous learning and personal development.

Rajiv Chavan Mumbai, India

Hello, my name is Rajiv Chavan. I worked as Deputy Manager – Piping and a PMP®-certified engineering professional with 30+ years of extensive experience in multidisciplinary EPC and FEED projects. Now retired. I am thrilled to be a new member of this vibrant PMI community

My experience includes leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating stakeholders and vendors, managing engineering deliverables, and supporting schedule-focused project execution. I also have international project exposure in Japan and Spain and am currently developing my knowledge of AI-assisted project management.I wanted to become a soldier and serve the nation through one of India’s three Armed Forces—the Army, Navy or Air Force. That aspiration shaped my respect for discipline, teamwork, responsibility and service.

I am particularly interested in digital project-management platforms that support planning, scheduling, risk management, resource allocation, stakeholder communication and performance reporting. I would like to deepen my knowledge of AI-assisted project management, data-driven decision-making, workflow automation and predictive project analytics.

Project management brings together two areas I value deeply: technical strategy and people leadership. Moving beyond pure engineering execution allowed me to coordinate teams, align stakeholders and balance scope, schedule, cost, resources, risk and quality. What continues to motivate me is the opportunity to transform an initial concept or FEED package into a successfully engineered and commissioned facility.

Professionally, I am proud of leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, draughtsmen, material specialists and stress engineers to deliver a greenfield project from FEED through detailed engineering and commissioning.

Personally, completing my first half marathon at the age of 50 was a defining achievement. It taught me that preparation, consistency and resilience can overcome perceived limitations. Running has since become a passion, and I aim to complete at least one half marathon every year.

Charles Imuzeze Kitchener, ONTARIO, Canada
Hello everyone! My name is Charles Imuzeze, and I’m pleased to join the ProjectManagement.com community.
My professional background is largely in Marketing Communications, Media, Business Development, and Project Coordination. Over the years, I worked on brand campaigns for different clients, and although we often called them “campaigns,” in practice, each one was managed very much like a project.
A typical brand campaign had a defined objective, scope, budget, timeline, stakeholders, vendors, deliverables, milestones, risks, and expected outcomes. From receiving the client brief to developing the strategy, preparing the scope of work, coordinating creative and media teams, managing vendors, monitoring timelines and budgets, obtaining approvals, executing the campaign, and reporting results, there was always a clear project lifecycle.
That experience is one of the things that drew me more formally into project management. I realised that many of the skills I had developed in Marketing Communications—stakeholder engagement, planning, coordination, risk management, negotiation, communication, budgeting, problem-solving, and delivery under tight deadlines—were core project management competencies.
Growing up, I was always interested in communication, leadership, and business. Looking back, I can see that I also enjoyed bringing people and resources together to make ideas happen.
Some of the project management tools and areas I enjoy learning about include Agile and Scrum, Kanban, Work Breakdown Structures, stakeholder management, risk management, scheduling, Earned Value Management, and project performance measurement. I’m also interested in how AI can support project planning, decision-making, communication, and delivery.
What keeps me interested in project management is the process of taking an idea from concept to execution and eventually seeing a measurable result. Every project brings a different combination of people, expectations, constraints, risks, and opportunities to learn.
One of my proudest professional accomplishments is having successfully coordinated and delivered multiple brand, media, marketing, and event campaigns involving clients, creative teams, media organisations, vendors, budgets, schedules, and numerous stakeholders.
I’m currently strengthening my formal project management knowledge and preparing for the PMP certification. I look forward to learning from this community, sharing experiences from the Marketing Communications side of project delivery, and connecting with project professionals across different industries.

Kim Kuhns Singh Senior Project Management| Kuhns Group, LLC Jensen Beach, United States
Hello everyone, I'm excited to meet all of you!

I am Kim Kuhns Singh, Strategic Program Leader & "Strategic Orchestrator" I'm currently looking for a contract or full-time project or program management role within a mission driven organization in Martin, St. Lucie, Palm Beach County area.

When I was growing up, I was the person organizing the neighborhood games at my house, so project management comes naturally for me. I wanted to be a psychologist in my teens, but went into marketing/business instead after I learned you need a Phd ( a lot of school).

I'm a big proponent of Smartsheet for high-level visibility and Jira or Kanban boards for the day-to-day execution (depending on the depth of a project). Lately, I’ve been fascinated by how we can use AI-augmented reasoning to better bridge the gap between technical roadmaps and human process bottlenecks. If you know of any good courses on how AI helps PMs, let me know?

I'm a builder and problem solver, so I’ve always been drawn to "big, hairy problems"—the ones where no one is quite sure where the disconnect is. What keeps me here is the "Strategic Orchestration" of it all: the challenge of interviewing stakeholders to find the human bottleneck and then building the right process and tech to clear the way.

Successfully building local and regional IT and Data teams and infrastructure in Asia Pacific from scratch for a global company who was opening offices in the region. I loved learning about the different cultures and figuring out how to gain alignment on achieving both the local and global goals of the organization. For example, in Japan, I learned all the real negotiations happen after work at the bar!

Look forward to getting to know you all!
All the best, Kim
