Greetings and Salutations,
I am Letty (preferred name) and I have unofficially have stepped into project manager roles in different capacities during my career in research. I am currently working on a fast tracked Bachelors/Masters program in Leadership and Organizational Behavior and Intro to PM is a required class. I just completed this class and took the advice of my professor to join as a student to volunteer and be mentored in consideration of taking the PMP certification before my graduation date. I think it takes a special kind of person to do this kind of work and I hope I have what it takes to become a PM. I look forward to learning and making some connections but moreover, I hope in time I will be able to make significant contributions to this group and to the work of a PM.

Hello everyone, My name is Salma Inuwa I am an airline pilot with ground and instructional experience. I have almost a decade experience in the aviation industry and I have worked on projects ranging from airline operations manual reviews to cadet training programs. Growing up I wanted to be alot of things from archaeologist to forensic scientist and also a pilot. Thankfully I zeroed in on the aviation profession. My favorite project management tool would have to be Microsoft teams for now at least. It has helped alot with communitcating, scheduling and monitoring during projects. I would like to learn more about Gnatt chart because I haven't had the opportunity of using it during a project. What drew me into project management industry is work and it still keeps me in it. I didn't expect to be involved in project management initially starting my career but I realised that I was being put in charge of projects and I actually enjoyed accomplishing them. My proudest accomplishment isn't professional but rather personal and ongoing. I was and is still able to juggle commercial flying, being a new mum and school (MBAA with PMP certification). Especially during the first few months postpartum. I am excited to be joining this community and look forward to creating lasting connections!

Hello everyone,
I'm Siyadh Saidh, currently enhancing my skills in project and qualification engineering within the pharmaceutical sector. Growing up, I always envisioned myself in a role where I could lead and make impactful decisions, ideally as a servant leader skilled in guiding teams through complex projects.
My go-to project management tools are Microsoft Project and AutoCAD, though I'm keen on deepening my expertise in the latest industry technologies like BIM and advanced data analytics platforms to better manage life science projects.
What drew me to project management was the challenge of turning concepts into realities, particularly in the dynamic and critical field of life sciences. The tangible impact of our work on enhancing healthcare and improving lives keeps me motivated.
My proudest professional accomplishment is the early completion of two multi-story residential buildings, delivered two months ahead of schedule, which not only significantly boosted client satisfaction but also honed my skills in efficient project execution.
I'm looking forward to learning from this community and sharing insights on navigating the complexities of project management in various sectors.
Best regards, Siyadh Saidh

My name is Kyle Herrera, and I am currently a Senior Project Manager. I have more than 11 years of experience managing complex projects across various industries, including technology, digital marketing, and education. I am passionate about using innovative solutions and team leadership to drive project success and enhance stakeholder engagement.
When I was growing up, I was deeply involved in acting and spent much of my time on stage, but my true passion was always writing. I was captivated by the power of storytelling and the ability to create entire worlds and characters from my imagination. Although I enjoyed the creativity and expression that acting provided, I found myself drawn to the process of crafting narratives and exploring different perspectives through writing. This early passion for storytelling and creative thinking naturally led me to my current role in project management, where I enjoy building and leading projects that bring innovative ideas to life.
As an Atlassian Community Leader, my favorite project management tools are Jira, Confluence, and Trello—and I do love a good Smartsheet. These tools help streamline workflows, manage tasks, and track progress effectively, allowing me to keep projects on schedule and within scope. I am also interested in learning more about advanced project management software and integrating AI-driven tools to enhance project forecasting and risk management.
What drew me to the project management industry is the opportunity to bring structure and clarity to complex projects and lead diverse teams toward achieving shared goals. I enjoy the dynamic nature of project management and the challenge of adapting to new industries, technologies, and methodologies. What has kept me in this field is the satisfaction of seeing a project through from conception to completion and the tangible impact it can have on a company and its clients.
My proudest accomplishment is leading the development of a mixed reality app that reduced bug resolution times by 33%. This project was challenging due to its technical complexity and the need for close collaboration between diverse teams, but it was incredibly rewarding to see it succeed and positively impact the user experience.
I’m excited to be a part of this community, learn from all of you, and share my experiences. Looking forward to engaging with everyone!
