Raul AvellanDivision Manager| JE Mechanical HV/AC, Corp.Guayaquil, Guayas, Ecuador
Hi everyone! My name is Raul, and I currently work as a Division Manager within the HVAC industry. As a kid, I wanted to be a software developer due to my passion for tech and computers. However, as I grew older, I shifted towards becoming a businessman. I found my passion in accounting, corporate finance, and business strategy, and set my sights on becoming a high-caliber business professional.
My love for business expanded into project management during my Bachelor's BA degree, where I realized my passion for executing projects across various industries. I started my career as an accountant and tax assistant, moved into Finance and Treasury, and later became an entrepreneur in the craft beer manufacturing and cocoa bean trading in the agriculture industry. Eventually, I transitioned into the HVAC industry, starting in A/R and operations, and today I’m focused on project management.
I’ve used tools like Procore and Bluebeam, and I’m eager to explore Revit, especially for improving communication between trades and GCs. What excites me about project management is the problem-solving process—breaking down challenges, building strategies, and executing plans, all while embracing the variety and unpredictability of different projects.
One of my proudest accomplishments is transforming a talent-driven SMB into a scalable, systematized business model, creating processes that drive sustainable growth.
Looking forward to connecting with you all and learning from your experiences!

Welcome, Francesco! Thank you for joining us in PMI's online community - and for volunteering your time with your local chapter!
My name is Shakeel, and I'm a PMO Manager. It's great to connect with this community!
Growing up, I always had a passion for building things. This passion led me to a career in engineering, and I've been fascinated by the project management aspect ever since.
I'm a big fan of traditional project management tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project. They've been invaluable for planning and tracking projects. However, I'm also excited about the potential of emerging technologies like AI and automation. I'm particularly interested in learning more about how these tools can streamline project management processes and improve decision-making.
What drew me to the project management industry was the challenge of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. The satisfaction of seeing a project completed is incredibly rewarding. What's kept me in it is the constant opportunity to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.
One of my proudest accomplishments was leading a team to deliver a major healthcare project that exceeded all expectations. It was a complex project with many stakeholders, but through effective collaboration and planning, we were able to deliver it on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Looking forward to connecting with you all and sharing experiences!
