Francisco Herrera
Community Champion
Program Manager, PPM&PMO Specialist.| Coppel, Mexico. Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico
Hi Colleagues! My name is Francisco, and mi current role is Program Manager.
When I was a child I dreamed of being a scientist
My favorite project management tools are the basic ones: the business case, the schedule and status report.
Don't stop learning, I would like to know more about prompt for project manament in artificial intelligence.
During the beginning of my career I ended up in charge of projects, and in one of my jobs they sent me to a diploma course on project management. Later I returned to my hometown and since I had the experience I decided to get certified, and from there it became my profession.
What keeps me in the profession is that it is the trend of the future to project everything, no matter what function, role or area, you will be involved in projects.
One of my achievements that I am most proud of is having formed a PMI chapter in my city and obtaining PMI Community awards during my management.
Regards! Francisco.

Bisharah Saeed Project Manager| Computacenter
Hello everyone,

My name is Bisharah Saeed and I am a project manager by profession. I have 4 years of experience in this role, both in startup and corporate environments. Growing up, I wanted to be a racing driver or someone who works around cars because one of the very few interests and passions that I still have from childhood is cars.

My favourite tools and technologies so far in project management are Asana and Trello, while I am very much looking forward to get my hands on MS Project.

I didn't have a solid plan of entering the project management industry because I happened to be in it totally by chance. However, once I was in that role, I figured this is where I want to be and so I took steps to enhance my skills and knowledge. One particular thing that I have always loved about project management is that you get to be a jack of all trades in it while still ensuring that you deliver the project in the best way possible. That in my opinion, is the one of the most challenging parts of project management and probably something that kept me in it.

My proudest accomplishment in personal life is that I jumped off a plane 4000m above sea level while I went tandem diving and when it comes to professional ones, I just earned my PMP certification and I am very much proud of it along with the fact that I was able to deliver one of the biggest projects my company ever got valued at over $200,000 on schedule preventing the client from missing the targeted launch date.

Looking forward to connect with fellow project managers here and happy to be a part of this community. :)

Jenny Morse Online Community Specialist| PMI Richmond, VA, United States

Hi everyone!

I am excited to join this community as the newest member of the online community team (along with my incredible colleagues Laura C, Kimberly, Laura S and Heather). I recently joined PMI in December then promptly left for my newest project management role- mother of 2!

Growing up, I was torn between wanting to be a veterinarian, a teacher, or a performer. I love animals but quickly realized I could not handle the tough parts of being a veterinarian and my educator mom talked me out of being a teacher. While it is certainly not my career, I do still enjoy performing in community theater and short films in my free time (which does not currently exist with a 3 year old and 12 week old!).

I am not a project manager, but I have worked alongside project managers for most of my career. I have a background in the SaaS world and have been in paid services, enablement, and online community across several different roles and companies. I have led teams before and love leaning in to a "light" Agile approach to organizing our projects and our time. It's actually a goal of mine to get my PMP someday, so I will be looking to you all for advice!

My greatest accomplishment is holding down my primary job (being a mother) and having the ability to do a job that fulfills me professionally- working with you all! I look forward to seeing everyone around the community and getting to know you all.

Tammy Mathieu Project Manager - IT| City of Greater Sudbury Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada
Hello everyone - My name is Tammy and I'm an IT Project Manager in Northern Ontario (Greater Sudbury), Canada. Originally growing up I wanted to be an astronaut (too much Star Wars and Star Trek!!) ...and then somehow trip and fell-in-love with technology!
I've always been fascinated with technology and how quickly it evolves... just when you think you've got it figured out, bam! You're already a decade behind!! lol
Throughout my career, no matter the industry, in one way or another, the management of projects (or activities) always seems to find me. I think what I enjoy most about Project Management is the fact that most of the 'approaches' are the fairly similar [Steps; Phases; Frameworks; Methodologies; etc.] but each new project introduces 'something' new [new people; new locations; new technologies; etc.]. Being able to close something off gives me a sense of accomplishment, and the excitement of starting up new projects - this is what keeps me looped in!
I don't necessarily have any particular favorite tools, since I love learning and sometimes I'll just randomly challenge myself with a new tool or technology... and see where it takes me. Live and Learn.
I'd love to learn more on: work smarter not harder. If there are tips, tricks, or inside secrets of the trade (PM trade)... then I'm all ears! When we learn together, we grow together!

Nice to meet you, Tammy! I enjoyed reading your observations on technology - remember when the special effects in Star Wars and Star Trek seemed so advanced? (I guess it was at the time!) It's certainly one example of how things have changed so much.

Glad to have you as part of the PMI community!
