More than a checklist, we have been spending the last few months stablishing a Governance Framework for AI as part of the overall Project Methodology. I think that there are many things to consider such as AI type, AI use Case, If it is an already approved initiative, proprietary model, AI enablement or a PoC. I don't have a clear cut answer to your question, Claudia. However, I believe it's going to be tough to incorporate AI quickly and it will find resistance in the beginning just like Agile and Agility did but sooner or later it will find its way everywhere.
PMI did two good actionable approaches by creating the PMI AI Assistant and releasing the GenAI Course.
I'd be interested to see what other members of this community have to say about this.
I am working in Oil & Gas industry projects and currently not using AI in project management due security concerns as in oil and Gas industry things are very confidential. After completion of Course on "Data Landscape of Gen AI for Project Managers" I am planning and would prepare a plan to present the case to the organization management for use of AI with its benefits and security. I am currently between roles, so I haven't deployed these protocols live yet. However, loooking through a Project Management lens for Retirement IT integrations, my readiness checklist would focus on these areas 1) Data Governance & PII Guardrails; 2) Data Quality Assessments; and 3) Change Management. Specific templates would probably include: API Scoping & Integration Charter templates, Risk & Compliance Matrix, Data Migratio, Testing and UAT Playbooks, and Stakeholder Status for non-technical executives.
