Are you utilizing any specific checklists or protocols within your projects or company to assess your readiness for working with Generative AI data? I'm curious to know what strategies or tools you've implemented to prepare for integrating Gen AI into your workflows. Please share your approaches in the comments below! Saving Changes...
In my experience the public sector is focused on use/adoption of templates to simplify workflows and automate tasks. Several industries struggle with data management and a lack of readily-available (and verified) historic data to pull from to adopt AI and GPU strategies and solutions. An initial focus on data review and data governance is likely needed to confirm the data sets available for use (including security considerations), to then consider and understand the AI and GPU strategies to pursue. In my T&C projects, we check data quality, confidentiality, and access permissions before using GenAI. We begin with low-risk tasks, such as drafting reports and analyzing progress data, while keeping all final decisions under human review. Saving Changes...

We've adopted various instantiations of AI tooling and have had to leverage strong protocols and boundaries due to the nature of the data we're working with. It's amazing how much sensitive information has been released into publicly accessible models. We have found that when producing a self assessment report for a client, that ingesting consolidated written reports from a single project into a file covering a year, provides correlations in minutes that would've taken weeks to get to. As a project consultant, I focus on teaching and developing methodologies. During consulting engagements, I currently use AI only to search for supporting information or examples, but not yet for data processing. Once I obtain that information, I analyze it to assess whether it is consistent with established standards, although I am not yet using a formal protocol for this evaluation. I believe that implementing such protocols would be a good practice. Saving Changes...
