Are you utilizing any specific checklists or protocols within your projects or company to assess your readiness for working with Generative AI data? I'm curious to know what strategies or tools you've implemented to prepare for integrating Gen AI into your workflows. Please share your approaches in the comments below!

In several companies where I have worked or provided some consulting on projects, they have not introduced the use of artificial intelligence in business development. One of the main difficulties is that they do not have a repository of project information that allows for the necessary knowledge management. Practically, learning from mistakes. I hope to be able to provide useful solutions to these challenges.

Juan, this is a very similar situation that I am also. I would be interested to hear how you were able to move toward collection of this information to be able to utilize Generative AI going forward.

Just started a project for the implementation of a Lesson Learned management tool: here I found some interesting perspectives.
I'm not yet aware of my company's checklist on how to integrate AI into our workflows since I'm somewhat removed from from that side of things but it's great to see the checklists from other people on the forum, they are super insightful and useful. We are however working on leveraging AI to better serve our customers by training an AI to provide useful an contextual responses and recommendations to our customers.

We have not started to access the readiness for working with Gen-AI data. However, given the fact that engineers in the organization have already started using ChatGPT for development activities, it will be useful to have a plan for structured and unstructured data analysis. Thanks for providing the forum/platform which is really helpful for gaining insights from fellow professionals!

At this time we do not have such a checklist. We are still learning. However, a checklist might include:

1. Establish a method for evaluating the effectiveness of this checklist.
2. Establish a method for changing the checklist and how changes are evaluated for increased/decreased utility.
3. Identify the expected artifacts to be generated by a GenAI model.
4. Identify the data that is necessary to train the GenAI model in order to produce the desired artifacts.
5. Research and identity the correct GenAI model based on the available data and desired artifacts.
6. Ensure persons are trained on the usage of the chosen tool. This includes understanding the model's capabilities and limitations.
7. Ensure persons are trained in Prompt Engineering so they can make the best use of the selected tool.
8. Establish standard methods of interacting with the GenAI model. For example, types and structure of Promts.
9. Establish a standard method of evaluating and tracking the effectiveness of interactions with the GenAI model.
10. Establish a protocol for amending the standard methods of interacting with the GenAI model.
11. Establish and execute on a regular cadence the effectiveness of standard methods used to interact with the trained GenAI model. Adapt methods as necessary.
12. Establish and execute on a regular cadence the effectiveness of the chosen GenAI tool and training data. Adapt data and or change models as necessary.

As an external consultant, it'll be a challenge to bring to some organizations the advantages of AI due to their culture and increasing concern about cyber security. However, we can bring with us this usage to improve consultancy. In my case, I'm using the PMI guidelines.
