Data Landscape for PMs in AI Course - Module - Role of Data in Gen AI Systems - Can someone please help me explain the difference between 2 points. Data Quality - It says to use relevant data i.e. specific to similar industry projects will drive tailored results. However, under Data Variety it says to add multiple project data from different industries/domains to get diverse perspective? Don't these contradict? Thoughts?

Como parte del proceso de modernización operativa en la empresa donde laboro, esta guía que esta en implementación para incorporar la inteligencia artificial (IA) de forma realista, práctica y con impacto inmediato en las operaciones de una empresa dedicada a movimiento de tierras. Cada paso está pensado en función de nuestra realidad de campo, considerando equipos, personal, y recursos actuales.
1. Definir objetivos claros en obra
Establece metas específicas como reducir tiempos muertos, mejorar la asignación de maquinaria y automatizar reportes. La IA debe ser una aliada, no un lujo.
2. Escuchar a las personas involucradas
Conversa con supervisores, operadores y gerentes. Saber lo que necesitan y temen ayudará a implementar con éxito.
3. Evaluar nuestra capacidad actual
¿Tenemos red o señal en el frente de trabajo? ¿Sabemos usar apps o tablets? Estos puntos son clave para iniciar.
4. Organizar bien los datos
Antes de usar IA, asegúrate que los datos sean precisos y coherentes. Por ejemplo: horas máquina, producción diaria o mantenimiento.
5. Seguridad y protección de información
Usa herramientas confiables que protejan la información de equipos y trabajadores. Siempre cumple con normas básicas de privacidad.
6. Capacitar al equipo humano
Identifica líderes en campo que puedan aprender rápido y compartir el conocimiento. Nadie queda fuera del proceso.
7. Iniciar con un piloto sencillo
No intentes aplicar IA en toda la operación de golpe. Comienza en un frente específico con maquinaria puntual. Aprende de eso.
8. Escoger la herramienta correcta
Usa herramientas accesibles como Power BI, plataformas con IA integrada o apps compatibles con nuestros equipos.
9. Considerar el lado humano y ético
Evita que la IA genere miedo o comparación negativa entre personas. Que todos entiendan que es una ayuda, no una amenaza.
10. Medir resultados constantemente
Crea paneles visuales donde veas si realmente la IA mejora producción, reduce errores o ahorra tiempo.
11. Enseñar y acompañar al usuario
No todos están familiarizados con tecnología. Brinda apoyo constante y celebra cada pequeño avance en el uso de IA.
12. Pensar en crecer a futuro
Una vez que el piloto funcione, amplía al resto de frentes y busca automatizar más procesos como combustible o mantenimiento.
13. Mejorar constantemente
Ajusta modelos, cambia lo que no funcione y prueba nuevas herramientas. La mejora es un camino continuo.
14. Comunicar con claridad
Informa a gerencia y al cliente sobre lo que se está haciendo. Usa datos simples y ejemplos visuales del impacto.
15. Tener un plan B
Si falla la app o no hay red, debemos tener una forma de seguir operando. Siempre hay que estar preparados.
