Our org is trying to actively accelerate AI methodologies and frameworks into our work teams. Everything is probably more moved along than what I know but the general population is still moving forward as we have always done.

I manage a team of academic coaches for a large tuition assistance provider. Part of our role includes writing and sending college recommendation tables and lists. AI tools have made this work easier but as they say, "garbage in and garbage out." We don't have our own proprietary LLM or AI program so we relay on those readily available so we cannot always trust the accuracy. My team therefore has put to gather some best practices to ensure we are verified data and using AI as a tool in our toolkit, not the end product.

My company is building their own Gen AI and there are protocols and check list to reduce hallucinations, that is about all I can divulge at this time.

We have not taken any initiative yet to prepare for integrating GenAI into our workflows, unfortunately.

As project management consultants, we are at the forefront of exploring how AI can contribute to more successful planning. Lessons learned to date include how important clarity and objectives are for your intentions in using the output of AI, and realization that all the nuances and specific considerations for getting good quality data (to meet your organizational project needs) may take fine tuning, and considerable human interaction in confirming the quality of the data. AI users must know the pros and cons of each of the data types to ensure risks are minimized. Good training on use of AI will assist users in clear policies for data usage, and steps to take to ensure data is real and specific enough to meet user needs, avoiding scenarios that may be made up.

The advantages of AI support in projects are increasingly evident. However, it has not yet been implemented within the company. The information from these PMI AI courses will provide support for efficiently adopting AI in processes in the near future.
