The Operation is a tedious process that requires people to do the same activity multiple times with utmost care. Thus people are used to doing the same and any change raises questions My objective is to provide a one-click operation where tasks are automated and things are delivered on the clicks rather than through manual intervention. People should do more productive work and leave daily work to BOTS.

You ask “what should be my part” with a specific objective “to provide a one-click operation”. I guess it depends a bit on your role. It seems there is some hybrid/mixed role that you’re in or different type of responsibilities are assigned.

If you’re a PM with no programming skills: If I were in this situation, I would put myself in the position of an implementor/manager accountable for delivering a working solution according to the collected requirements.

If you’re a programmer in a PM shoes: I would rather put on a “developer hat” and focus on coding and testing the program. Pushing any BA/PM tasks out of my scope. Alternatively asking for a clear segregation of duties.
