Have you experienced wonderful, potentially unexpected successes using Generative AI in your projects?

I'm eager to hear about the innovative outcomes you've achieved with Gen AI, and how data played a role in these ventures.

What challenges did you encounter, and what benefits did you realize in this process?

Thank you Claudia for the opportunity to share my experience.

Within the PMO I belong to we're trying a learn-by-doing approach progressively sharpening our outputs.

Even if satisfied with acceptable results, I haven't yet face an outstanding or unexpected success: so far GenAI is helping me as a Project Manager in a variety of tasks such as analyzing huge amount of data or resuming meeting notes. I'll immediately continue reading other comments, they're awesome!

We have not yet used it in any new or innovative ways as we are taking it slowly to ensure governance and consistency. We have been using it to provide some reference points and comparisons.

I have not work with AI yet, but my expectative is to reduce the projects processes but overall to automate the documantion relationship.

I have not been involved with any AI systems. I have heard about them and am now getting more knowledge before it does present itself.

Challenges remain the same from long time ago (Gen AI is outside there from long time ago): AI entities have a grade of confidence associated to them that must be published with the results. So, the final decision still remains in human being hands. The same for the outcomes: helps me to search patterns in a hugh amount of data to create the information I need adding that today I can find data public and outside my organization.
Gen AI has been helping me with all aspects of project documentation and use of trends from lessons learned in the overall project success.

I've had a lot of success interacting with our company version of ChatGPT on the topic of agile KPI. I asked GPT to assume the role of an experienced agile program manager then proceeded to query on various KPI topics including describing certain KPI such as velocity variance and say-do ratio among others, how to interpret them and finally comparing and contrasting similar KPI. Each response was extremely thorough even to the point of asking the question again and asking for a summarized response.
Thank you Claudia and thank you everyone for this discussion. I'm finding I'm spending a lot of time coming back here to see what others are doing. Our organization has very recently put Copilot into a beta release with folks who regularly create presentations and manage very disparate initiatives. We are just starting to share stories and experiences and are just scratching the surface at this time.
As I've been personally exploring training and courses for the past 6 months, I have been trying to create a series of prompts to have Copilot assist with project planning and execution. It is still very early days and I'm trying with increasing references to different file formats / file types (with mixed results). Would love to know if others are doing so and the success they may be having there. I can foresee that with standards in place, this will truly cut down a lot of time spent on the 'busy work' tasks.

I've been using GenAI to help with brainstorming, developing articles and communication templates, and do some project management excel worksheet building. I've been able to produce documents much faster and increase my efficiency.
