My personal recent experience is tremendously successful: taking advantage of all the knowledge available over the internet, our peers experiences and sharing, and personal research we have been able to deliver some interesting outcomes in different industries. It's still some manual work involved and time must be spent but it's totally worst it. Saving Changes...

I am exploring new way to use Gen AI in IoT Projects Management particularly Internet of Things projects as we have to manage different level of complexity at both technology and decision stacks.
Since you need to consider the complexity of five layers of technology: device hardware, device software, communications, cloud platform, and cloud applications and you need to consider five layers decision areas: Ux, Data, Business, Technology, security and Regulations and standards.
You need to make critical business and technical decisions at each of these five layers and ensure these myriads of decisions is consistent with your overall strategy across the five layers. This exponentially increases the difficulty of managing an IoT projects more and more complex.
I will appreciate your efforts if you can put some highlights on such a complex project.

As of this date, we have yet to implemented GenAI into our projects. After doing these GenAI course at PMI, we will be looking at possible implementation of GenAI in future project, slowly at first to test them out and later implementing more and more.
My agency has yet to implement GenAI into our projects. After reviewing these GenAI course available through PMI I feel I have some foundational knowledge I can apply to further discussion of its use. Saving Changes...
We successfully developed a Generative AI bot tailored for Financial Education in Uganda. The tool speaks about topics like saving, investment, retirement planning and so much more all focusing on the Ugandan perspective, we have tested the bot internally, it received positive feedback from staff. Next, we plan to roll it out publicly, aiming to enhance financial education across Uganda. The bot supports both English and Luganda, demonstrating Generative AI's versatility. Initially we faced data shortages issues, but we quickly collaborated with organizations and individuals with quality and reliable data to allow us access and incorporate their data in our bot and this helped us to overcome the challenge and enabling robust training for the bot. To date, I have used generative AI in a supportive role - for summarizing meeting minutes and providing a list of action items, and for brainstorming key elements and potential content of change management and communications management plans to help with the successful adoption of technology solutions by different stakeholder groups. Our department hasn’t use any AI tools. However, I’ve use AI to improve my writing. It helps lot. Saving Changes...
I've used it primarily as a starting point for document creation - much easier than starting with a blank canvas. I've also used it to help generate acronyms/names for project proposals Saving Changes...
As of now, the most success that I have experienced with generative AI is that it has helped with drafting emails and messages quite a lot. What used to take 10 minutes can be done in less than 5 minutes. Even more amazing, I only need to input a few words to make AI understand the context.
As for data in AI, it really helps with analysis. I don't mean that AI will hand you everything on a silver platter but if you are good with your prompts and if the data is reliable, Ai will point you in the right direction. All we have to do is execute it that way. I also requested for a simpler explanation which it generates within seconds linked with real world examples. As a PM myself, I feel generative AI significantly eases things for PMs. Saving Changes...
Challenges included ensuring data quality and managing computational resources, but the benefits—such as enhanced creativity, automation, and efficiency—far outweighed the hurdles Saving Changes...
In some cases, I'm faced with the beginnings and kick-starting my endeavor. It was kinda difficult for some projects/journeys to start. Gen AI was a big facilitator of this. It helped me with ideas and ways to get things kicked and start working on them. And in other cases, it was more of an assistant to ensure that I'm doing things correctly. Prompts have always been a challenge though, yet manageable.
Of course, I always have to do that cross-check and review it as human touch is necessary, and not everything is absolutely correct, as it may suffer from hallucinations.
In summary, GenAI has been as assistant to me and increased my efficiency in some areas and helped me to save time in others, yet it should be wisely and intelligently used. Saving Changes...
