Have you experienced wonderful, potentially unexpected successes using Generative AI in your projects?

I'm eager to hear about the innovative outcomes you've achieved with Gen AI, and how data played a role in these ventures.

What challenges did you encounter, and what benefits did you realize in this process?

I was pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness of AI in situations where the programmers in the team needed quick solutions. We successfully solved bottlenecks in the project related to coding by using AI.

We are still at infancy in using GEN AI.

Challenges remain the same from long time ago (Gen AI is outside there from long time ago): AI entities have a grade of confidence associated to them that must be published with the results. So, the final decision still remains in human being hands. The same for the outcomes: helps me to search patterns in a hugh amount of data to create the information I need adding that today I can find data public and outside my organization.
I am yet to start using GenAI for PM work processes. I am certain, though, that the success of such venture will be dependent on the quality of relevant data the system is trained on

In software development projects, it has been very beneficial to have the help of AI, for example.

- Analyze documents related to a project (before sharing sources, documents are sanitized, removing sensitive company data, people, personal numbers, bank details, etc.)
- Ideas for writing and/or structuring a response
- Complement and/or learn about a technical topic
- Evaluate risks for a specific project
- Generate test cases for a specific feature
- Analyze and correct errors

I haven't yet.

In the area of systems development it has allowed:
Improve the time to implement unit tests to improve code coverage.
Convert code from one language to another
Create, and improve code
POC faster
In the management area:
Explain and clarify concepts used in proposals
Generate documents based on previous ones
Identify customer and stakeholders
among others

I have used ChatGPT to develop tasks for projects that lacked historical context or templates. This significantly improved the internal kickoff process, making it faster and smoother, as technical SMEs and other project team members were largely aligned with the AI-generated tasks. ChatGPT is a good tool for creating tasks for new projects without prior examples to reference.

Prompt could be:
"You are a project manager and have been assigned a data analytics project in the NYS Office of Medicaid Inspector General - OMIG. Provide a list of tasks and milestones that may be required for this project, so project team members can have a guide to provide input. This will become a template for similar projects in the future. You will use Smartsheet to manage the project."

I've used it a lot and I'm always on the lookout for new developments in the world of A.I. I'm currently working on an IT service governance project and generative has helped me a lot to develop policies that are more appropriate to the context, analyse large volumes of data and generate valuable insights. It's important for us as project managers to realise that there are a multitude of tools to support different sectors. As an example, I can cite Artificial Intelligence tools that enter meetings and automatically compile all the minutes with a full transcript (in minutes). This is a huge step forward, and if we take advantage of it, we'll reach the highest levels of efficiency.
That is great

I have not used it in a work setting, but I have tested it while researching personal topics of interest. I have been pleasantly surprised by the results generated.

I've using GenAI to help drafting business comms and gather key important items for long documents which is proven to be a great starting point and time saver. Due to company policies we are still quite limited on the type of data we can upload to those tools but we expect to have our very own GPT which will allow for further use cases test / implementation.
