I had used Gen AI to create progress reports, to analyze environmental risks within the design of a project.

Hi Claudia,
I've been using GenAI for preparing the kick-off meeting, identifying project risks, consulting lessons learned from similar projects, producing documents much faster than with the traditional tools.

Hi Claudia,

On an organizational level, we are yet to walk this path, but being that AI is really a big part of future project management technics, I believe it will be incorporated.

On a personal level, I am appreciating and learning more about AI through coiurses, such as this one, articles, threads etc.

I use ChatGPT often, but not majorly for project management activities yet.

Thank you.

This has been truly a great learning experience for me as prior to this i wasn't fully aware of the vast potential of AI in project management, except for basic use of LLMs.

I recently used AI to conduct a behavioral analysis of the team during the execution of a climate resilience project, cross-referencing information about each member's role within the project and their behavioral profile with text that presents good leadership practices in projects, with the aim of generating insights for improving team management and future projects. The result of this action was surprising, as I was able to have an overview of the project management deficiencies that occurred, as well as the team's performance by identifying the team's strengths and areas for improvement more quickly and accurately.

Yes. There’s a lot of excitement around Microsoft Copilot, and I’ve seen firsthand how generative AI can drive real value across projects. One example I’ve personally showcased is using AI to review multiple documents, generate a comprehensive summary, and then develop a PowerPoint presentation based on a standard template—work that typically takes days, completed in just a few hours. We’ve also used it to automate documentation, summarize meetings, and extract insights from structured and unstructured data, often identifying risks earlier than expected. While data quality and change management posed initial challenges, the benefits—reduced workload, improved consistency, and faster, clearer communication—have made GenAI a true productivity partner.

I've been using GenAI to help with brainstorming, developing articles and communication templates, and do some project management excel worksheet building. I've been able to produce documents much faster and increase my efficiency.
I agree with you Kyle. Increasing efficiency in some tasks using GenAI has been a game changer for me as a PM so that I can focus more time on stakeholder engagement and team building. Thanks for sharing

One of the key challenges we face is becoming knowledgeable about AI technology, both individually and as a team. Often, we overlook the potential of AI tools for simple tasks, such as checking invoices. While these tasks may seem trivial, their cumulative impact can lead to significant time savings on projects. Therefore, it is crucial to remain aware of the capabilities of AI and to actively incorporate its use in our daily activities. Additionally, it is essential to educate ourselves about what this technology can accomplish so that we can maximize its benefits.

Apart from using M365 Copilot and our internal GenAI tool, I don't have experience in using other GenAI tools yet. However, after learning so much information from the PMI GenAI trainings, I am excited to explore some of them and see if I can create a tool to assist me with my PM tasks.
