I am using GenAI to create organizational knowledge and predictive signaling on the project management and the lessons learned from previous experiences. This is helping in project scheduling, execution, planning and finding the preventive measures to avoid any kind of slippage and disaster.

None yet. Our department has not yet started seeking ways to implement AI into our projects.

Our company leverages GenAI across multiple departments in project execution. It supports the creation and review of project documentation, assists in analyzing data collected during projects to inform decision-making, and provides many other valuable applications that enhance efficiency and outcomes.

Yes, I’ve had some great successes with Generative AI. For me, it’s been most useful in increasing efficiency and improving the quality of documentation. Whether drafting project reports, SOPs, or refining communication for stakeholders. It’s also a fantastic tool for research. Instead of spending hours online, I can get accurate summaries and insights quickly, which has supported my MBA studies and my role as a Project Manager. The main challenge for me has been accuracy. I always double-check outputs, especially for sensitive or technical projects. But the benefits far outweigh that: faster delivery, clearer documentation, sharper insights, and more creative ways to present ideas.
Overall, it’s become a real co-pilot in my projects.

Dear Claudia, thank you for these questions. Last year, I led a qualitative research project. GenAI helped me analyze large amounts of data from in-depth interviews from the field. Without this tool, I would have used more specific tool which I would have spent time to learn. From this example, GenAI made me more effective delivering this project. I did the same experience for the final evaluation of a project.

I hadn't considered running all of my lessons learned documents into AI and summarize the findings. I found several common threads across all projects. This will greatly help us do a root cause analysis on items that hurt our project success and focus on training and safeguarding those items.
I did notice that AI can develop biases, so I need to do better at training the AI engine and have it challenge my assumptions and be an intellectual sparing partner to help me correct any biases.

Started using Gen AI a week ago, and still in the learning curve. However, i acknowledge the outputs with an improved prompting of the data being analyzed. Understanding the need and why one needs the data for helps solving the problem at hand.

I have had some success in drafting lessons learned using AI tools but have to be careful to only use AI tools with projects whose lessons learned would not include any confidential information. Being in the financial services industry, keeping customer & organizational data, both PII & NPPI takes priority over the time savings gained by AI.

I've been using AI to support various routine business tasks, and I've found it helpful. In various teaching roles, I've used it to help create the code for a basic risk simulation exercise, and I also use it to refine my language for specific sections of various reports. I find it's been wonderful at starting first drafts when I can't get my mind into the right gear for an audience as well.
