Continue your AI journey!
PMI is offering a new AI course, Data Landscape of Generative AI for Project Managers. Providing practical GenAI knowledge, the 45-minute course will help Project Managers integrate data-driven decision making into their projects and develop the skills needed to lead AI adoption within their organizations.
The course includes a new feature - The Data Landscape of GenAI Canvas for Project Managers available through Miroverse and as a PDF in the course. This tool will assist you in using GenAI in project tasks to improve outcomes.
Tell us what you think! Your feedback will be shared with Claudia Alcelay and the product team.
-What are your key takeaways from the course?
-How will you use the canvas with your team?
-What conversations have your learnings and/or the canvas prompted within your organization?
-What would you like to learn next in order to practically apply GenAI to your projects? Saving Changes...

I completed this course on August 4 and the 5 PDUs were never automatically reported on my behalf. I contacted PMI support via WhatsApp 3 different times during a span of 3 weeks and they just kept asking me to wait. The last person that assisted me ended up asking me to manually report the 5 PDUs myself. I didn't have issues with the other 2 courses in the series.

I am contemplating taking this course, but nowhere can I find the allocation of the 5 PDU count to other certifications. I have both the PMP and PBA, I use AI extensively for my PBA role digesting policies, standards and procedures as well as recapping requirements from elicitation sessions, I don't use it for the for the PMP side of my role. If I am spending 5 hours in this class I want to confirm the PBA and the PMP both get 5 PDUs for this, prior to taking it. All other courses show how the PDUs are allocated. Can someone tell me if the PBA gets also 5 PDUs for this? Saving Changes...

I have just started this course and its going really good. But are there any course notes available. The videos are great, but would be happy to have access to the course notes for review. (preferably in pdf format) Saving Changes...
I think one of the most important takeaways is that successful use of GenAI in project management depends on more than choosing the right AI tool. The quality, context, security, and governance of the data behind the tool are equally important. For project managers, this also creates an interesting shift in responsibilities. We need to understand not only how AI can help with tasks such as analysing project data, identifying patterns, summarising lessons learned, or supporting decision-making, but also when human judgement needs to take over. The distinction between using AI for project management and managing an AI-enabled project is particularly valuable. Both require different skills, risks, and governance considerations. I would be interested to learn more about practical frameworks for evaluating GenAI use cases within a projectâespecially how project managers can assess data readiness, privacy risks, expected value, and human oversight before implementing an AI solution. From a professional training perspective, this is also a topic we are increasingly discussing at Edoxi, particularly around helping professionals develop a practical understanding of AI, data, and responsible implementation. It will be interesting to see how these skills become integrated into the evolving role of the project manager. Saving Changes...
