In which aspects of your personal life do you usually use project management best practices? The other time I was reading a book about a project to achieve happiness, and I always plan the activities and my budget when I go on vacation! Saving Changes...

Yes, certainly. PM and planning I apply to my vacations, festivities, home improvement, stakeholder engagement, and what else comes along. But life is much bigger than PM. Overall, though it is unique and time-limited, the outcome is the same for all of us, and I do not see it as a project or a program. PM is based on rationality, yet humans are dominantly irrational or have bounded rationality. That means we prefer short-term satisfaction over optimal solutions. For example, I enjoy the thrill of going into a meeting unprepared and yet being able to contribute with value.
Interesting approach Thomas, definitely having some appetite for uncertainty helps us develop other muscles! It's interesting to consider the balance - not too much planning, not too little planning! Saving Changes...

When I got married, so as not to arrive in a hurry on the day of my wedding, I made a complete project plan with the help of my future wife. People act as project managers from the moment they get out of bed until the moment they return to it.
Great story Sergio! We can make the analogy that Project Mnager it's a lifestyle!

Thanks for the feedback. Adding to my previous comment I perform training from years related to project/program manager and business analysis and one of the my course was "Project management for all". Between the cases to solve there was a wedding plan.

I agree that Project Management principles cannot remain confined to Office space. We can adopt those practices in our daily lives. I too apply them daily - as needed. One of the most critical, fixed-price project I managed was arranging my younger sister's marriage.
I have written this article sharing the ordeal I went through watching a horrible movie :-) Have tried mapping each Knowledge Areas with different activities we did

Great exercise!
A while back, I used to identify project management applications in movies and TV series. I then explained them in my classes. I'll try to revisit this exercise!

Right. Because to the course people for different expertisse and domain came. So, I wrote three different cases to solve. My courses were always 60% practice 40% theory except courses related to obtain a certification. Then, I wrote cases about situations that people leave some time in their life.

Good combination of practice and theory! I always look to include a good percentage of practice in my teaching, thanks for sharing Sergio Luis!
"Impartial observers from other planets would consider ours an utterly bizarre enclave if it were populated by birds, defined as flying animals, that nevertheless rarely or never actually flew. They would also be perplexed if they encountered in our seas, lakes, rivers and ponds, creatures defined as swimmers that never did any swimming. But they would be even more surprised to encounter a species defined as a thinking animal if, in fact, the creature very rarely indulged in actual thinking."
