In which aspects of your personal life do you usually use project management best practices? The other time I was reading a book about a project to achieve happiness, and I always plan the activities and my budget when I go on vacation! Saving Changes...

I like to use my PM skills for managing, planning, & prioritizing life decisions and "risks" like many of you listed above, which really helps me to feel more in control of my life. Even when things don't go according to plan with unexpected bills or life obligations, I feel having the control and peace that a solid "project" plan gives me help keep things in perspective and not overwhelming me. I really like this question. It was very insightful to look at how the skills I have developed over the years has had more of an impact on personal life than merely my professional career. Thanks Francisco for the personal reflection!

I use it in my daily life quite often. For planning vacations, weight loss journey, managing home improvements, etc.
A funny story..I was just speaking to a coworker who had taken a few days off of work. His wife had a whole list of things she wanted him to do, so he built a Kanban board in the kitchen out of sticky notes, and told his wife that's how he woudl prioritize and she could change the priorities on the board if she wanted LOL. Now his wife keeps adding to the board.

Nice anecdote Diana! I also have a friend who has a list of home improvement things. He makes a backlog, asks his wife (who he calls the Product Owner) to prioritize it, and then works on it during the weekends like a sprint! I find his stories funny. Thanks for sharing!

When I got married, so as not to arrive in a hurry on the day of my wedding, I made a complete project plan with the help of my future wife. People act as project managers from the moment they get out of bed until the moment they return to it.
Indeed, Sergio Luis Conte. Setting the alarm before going to bed is a clear example of SS scheduling; you can start opening your eyes once the alarm has gone off 😉 ... and some risk management as well ( the phone has enough battery, shutters are down, etc.). It is not PM per se, but I definitely benefit from and use several PM transferable skills. Saving Changes...

Right. Because to the course people for different expertisse and domain came. So, I wrote three different cases to solve. My courses were always 60% practice 40% theory except courses related to obtain a certification. Then, I wrote cases about situations that people leave some time in their life.
Good combination of practice and theory! I always look to include a good percentage of practice in my teaching, thanks for sharing Sergio Luis!
