Devyani, interesting question. I didn't see a specific domain for insurance specifically but it may be because Insurance deals with multiple sectors and industries so a PM managing Insurance related projects can wear multiple hats. Saving Changes...
Like any other domain, there will be knowledge specific to the insurance industry which a PM will gain over time. There are also likely to be some projects which are common across insurance companies such as rate updates, regulatory changes and so on.
For such knowledge, an industry-focused association is likely a better source of learning than a general PM community, although you might locate and network virtually with PMs here who are also in the insurance domain.
