Validating and checking outputs is critical when working with AI systems like Generative AI. Such validation approaches may include establishing clear criteria, implementing strong testing protocols, and continuous refinement.

In your experience with AI, what are some best practices for ensuring the results you receive are accurate, relevant, and aligned with your original goals?

It is always better to provide examples , context and relevant Validations steps to be performed before we consume the output especially related strategic analysis and enterprise decisions etc.
Basically We humans have to have a oversight and tailor to the needs will help fit to the requirement

Add context and be specific on what you are requesting.

Providing the specific context in clear and consise way is essential.
Yes, it is important to use precise and specific prompt to get better result. We can use the RTF and CREATE techniques to have responded well from AI

Hola,

Hello,
One of the best ways to ensure we get a clear response from AI is to always be concise with our requests. Personally, I find the CREATE formula to be the most comprehensive for structuring prompts; however, it is also essential to align our expectations regarding the results we want to achieve.

Like with any new tool, you need to test the results before you scale up.

Think about if you were to manually model a very complex problem in a spreadsheet. You don't build all the links and formulas first and then evaluate your final output. You build and test sections of the bigger solution first and then add on layers once you have validated the functionality.
I agree with you.

Great question, Sarah. For me, I believe you need to set clear, measurable criteria for what a “good” output looks like (accuracy, tone, completeness, relevance) so you can evaluate results objectively instead of relying on gut feeling. Also, validate outputs against trusted data sources, run small pilot tests, and refine prompts or inputs based on gaps. This ensures each iteration moves closer to the intended goal.

In my opinion providing clear and accurate context with examples of similar projects and using RTF formula can help to provide better solutions. in addition to this testing and validating is utmost important. can not simply rely of AI responses, make sure to validate them with your company and project objectives.

Along with thoroughly reading your AI outputs, it's also important to understand that most prompts will go through a refinement process. It might take a few re-writes and the addition of specific examples to make a prompt the best it can be. When planning and writing prompts extra time for the refinement stage should always be factored in.

This may involve including the contextual factors in a detailed way and selecting an AI tool/system that will provide relevant and accurate details.

It should also include revalsoby a human being with relevant knowledge and expertise.
