With Generative AI, iteratively refining and optimizing prompts can lead to better AI-generated results. This may involve adjusting the specificity or clarity of the prompt to increase relevance and accuracy of results.

What examples do you have of how improving a prompt drastically changed the output quality?  What specific changes did you make that led to the improvement?

Refining a prompt truly makes all the difference. It turns a basic outcome into a masterpiece.

In my experience with GenAI, refining prompts has a significant impact on output quality. Initially, my vague prompts led to generic responses. However, by being more specific provided me with more relevant and actionable insights.

By iteratively refining the prompt, me and the AI were able to create a highly customized work requirements assessment table that was specifically tailored to a specific customer and in a specific segment.

When I refine a prompt, I am able to either see additional detailed output or observe a format or output that was not in line with what I initially perceived. Refining the prompt gives me an opportunity to get closer to an intended result.

Being specific and clear ensures that the output is accurate. PMs still need to validate the output

There are framewoks to create prompt. This is part of the Prompt Desing discipline. Those that gave me and the initiatives where I was included are:R-T-F (Role-Task-Format), T-A-G (Task, action, goal), B-A-B (Before, after, bridge), C-A-R-E (context, action, result, example), R-I-S-E (role, input, steps, expectations).
I agree. Those are extremely helpful and useful frameworks. You have to be specific, clear, and detail oriented with AI to get the best answers.

Responses are more accurate and relevant. There's a difference. Accurate to my request and relevant to my role. Elaborating to a strategy ensures to apply it properly.

Definitely it has changed the quality with refining prompts using various methods like RTF and CREATE. Earlier i used to request the details without using any methods which were giving output/content in general. But when i actually started defining a role for my prompts and the situations for which i wanted to have a response, i started getting more precise and sensible responses. Responses in the form of Email, setting up a meeting agenda, preparing for PMP etc.
