With Generative AI, iteratively refining and optimizing prompts can lead to better AI-generated results. This may involve adjusting the specificity or clarity of the prompt to increase relevance and accuracy of results.
What examples do you have of how improving a prompt drastically changed the output quality? What specific changes did you make that led to the improvement?
There are framewoks to create prompt. This is part of the Prompt Desing discipline. Those that gave me and the initiatives where I was included are:R-T-F (Role-Task-Format), T-A-G (Task, action, goal), B-A-B (Before, after, bridge), C-A-R-E (context, action, result, example), R-I-S-E (role, input, steps, expectations).

In my experience, I've found that the more specific and contextualized the prompt, the better the results. I've also found that iterative refinement—adding constraints, clarifying the objective, and requesting a specific format for the response—significantly improves the accuracy and usefulness of the information generated.

Refining a prompt through prompt chaining has drastically reduced hallucination and produced, clear and better results by engaging the AI inherent capabilities by providing role based requests using the CLEAR and RTF formula Saving Changes...
Being concise and role specific helping me a lot in my daily work. It saves a lot of time and more importantly it is addressing the communication gaps largely making it easier for decision making.

I have discovered that refining a prompt can completely transform GenAI output. A vague request often produces generic or shallow results, but adding structure, constraints, and intent can shift the response from passable to genuinely useful. Even small adjustments- clear context, desired format, or step-by-step reasoning - can turn an unfocused answer into something precise, actionable, and aligned with my goals.
