In your experience with GenAI, how has refining a prompt drastically changed the output quality?

With Generative AI, iteratively refining and optimizing prompts can lead to better AI-generated results. This may involve adjusting the specificity or clarity of the prompt to increase relevance and accuracy of results.

What examples do you have of how improving a prompt drastically changed the output quality?  What specific changes did you make that led to the improvement?

Refining prompts allows me to be sure the AI can be clear about my ask. It allows me to address any initial incorrect or sideways responses up front before layering on tasks.

You are welcome Winston C Ikekeonwu PMP . I spend my time here to learn from all people comments then my gratitude is with you. Just to add to your comment about input data you are totally wirte. It is a key in all AI and mainly in generative AI. That´s the point from long long time ago and as you know now is "converted" a new discipline call Data <something>

Absolutely. I’ve noticed that the quality of the prompt can make a huge difference in the quality of the output. When I started being more specific about the context, objective, constraints, and the type of result I wanted, the responses became much more relevant and practical.
What surprised me most is that refining a prompt isn’t just about adding more words it’s about giving GenAI a clearer understanding of what you actually need. It feels a lot like communicating with a colleague: the clearer you are about the goal and expectations, the better the result.

Yes I have found that spending time to construct the prompts with both GenAI using CoPilot and PMI’s Infinity yield much greater outcomes. Also I have found the bragging on the results and outcomes and setting an expectation on outcomes and discussing upcoming capabilities and roles with the AI contact yields greater results and better cooperation. I look forward to continuing the try the new techniques I’ve learned in the session.

I believe that topics most relevant to the project can be refined to yield a more satisfactory result. For instance, specifying the format of the output document is crucial.

Next, the information needs to be structured in a way that makes it usable for the project.
