With Generative AI, iteratively refining and optimizing prompts can lead to better AI-generated results. This may involve adjusting the specificity or clarity of the prompt to increase relevance and accuracy of results.

What examples do you have of how improving a prompt drastically changed the output quality?  What specific changes did you make that led to the improvement?

In my experience, refining a prompt can make a big difference in the quality of AI-generated results. When I provide more context, clarify my expectations, and specify the desired format, the answers become more accurate and useful. I see it as an iterative process: the clearer my instructions, the better the results.

Continuing on " iteratively refining and optimizing prompts can lead to better AI-generated results." help myself build complex cost analysis step by step and purposely building in regular QC steps to ensure resultant Excel workbook did not "loose memories" and unknowingly corrupt formulae by "assuming its AI answer".

Being concise with your AI enhances your AI advantage while reminding you to "never assume'" the AI will just understand you taking short-cuts because you may very quickly be led 'down the wrong path'

Getting accurate results from AI is not just about writing the right prompt. It’s about providing the right context, reviewing the response, and refining it until it meets our objectives. Just like mentoring, we need to ask questions, give feedback, explore alternative outputs, and continuously improve. Don’t settle for the first answer. Iterate, challenge, and improve!
