With Generative AI, iteratively refining and optimizing prompts can lead to better AI-generated results. This may involve adjusting the specificity or clarity of the prompt to increase relevance and accuracy of results.

What examples do you have of how improving a prompt drastically changed the output quality?  What specific changes did you make that led to the improvement?

in reality, the more superficial inputs, the more general and unfocused response will be. conversely, when the input is specific and clear, the response tends to be more objective and relevant to the topic. therefore a question should be formulated logically and kept focused on the core subject, avoiding excessive breadth to ensure the discussion does not stray into unrelated areas.

I'm genuinely grateful for courses offered by PMI about how to use AI effectively as project managers. That helped me to encourage engineers in my team to introduce an agent, which helps other teams on governance-aligned decision-making.

I find that when I generalize my prompts as though I am thinking loudly. the outputs are very vague. After adapting the CREATE model, the outputs on several AI models have drastically improved. I receive more comprehensive details and feel more confident in using the tools in day-to-day operations.

Being concise and specific helps the AI to give some valuable answers. It also learns with time as you ask further questions.
concise and specific saves time and helps the AI provide better results. Verifications by the PM is responsible as you are the owner of the output.

By refining a prompt with specific details such as the Target Audience, Reporting Period, Key Performance Indicators, desired Structure, and expected Accuracy, AI can generate higher-quality results. These predefined elements reduce ambiguity, provide clear guidance, and consequently help ensure that the response is relevant, well-organized, and closely aligned with the user's objectives and expectations. value...

It is the difference between a bunch of useless gobbledygook vs. something you can actually use for daily work.

It's as simple as garbage in then garbage out. That has not changed.
