With Generative AI, iteratively refining and optimizing prompts can lead to better AI-generated results. This may involve adjusting the specificity or clarity of the prompt to increase relevance and accuracy of results.

What examples do you have of how improving a prompt drastically changed the output quality?  What specific changes did you make that led to the improvement?

There has been significant change, there has to be most of the times 2 way communication. Look for answer and give suggestion / feedback.

In my experience with GenAI, refining a prompt can significantly improve the quality of the output. When a prompt is too complex or overloaded with information, the AI tends to provide broad, high-level responses, missing important details. By breaking the prompt down into smaller, more focused components and adopting a more conversational approach, the AI is better able to address specific aspects of the question. This leads to more precise, actionable insights and a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Prompt refinement helps guide the AI to deliver results that are not only clearer but also more aligned with the intended goals.

Clarity, Adding more context to a prompt can help the AI better understand the situation, Tone and Style Adjustments.

Refining prompts has a tremendous impact on the response or output quality. The more we converge while iterating and refining our prompts, the more precise and curate responses we get that are more compatible with the context that we are requesting. This improves the overall response efficiency.

It's nice to have this course and platform to discuss. I am going through the Prompt engineering video, will apply the concept after understanding and come back.

It is important to remember this: generative AI is just "predictive text with storoids". Obviously not only text will be the result. BUT the important thing is the answer will just to complete your question (prompt) with the things that have more probability to complete it. You can manage it using some of the parameters like temperature. So, it is very important when creating the prompt to put clear the role, the place where the role works/live/etc, the task the role has to accomplish and the format of the answer. This is an example of R-T-F. You have to eliminate as ambiguity as possible. If not, then hallucinations will happened.
very well, it is important to be specific and clear in context to get your desired output.

I normally use the GCA
Goal, Context and Action, as well as RTF, CREATE to write prompts to get more accurate results that aligns with my quest.

For me, using the RTF and CREATE formats have really improved the effectiveness of my use of AI. Since many tools I use don't currently have the integrations I need, providing the format of the output I want has been one of the most useful tips.

It greatly changes the quality output of the AI response when I refine my prompts.

It is true that iteratively refining and optimizing prompts can lead to better AI-generated results.
I had once tried Gen AI to develop an advocacy poster of an Architect holding a newspaper with the inscription "Stop Building Collapse, Consult and Architect"

Initial LLM output was jumbled up in the spelling of some words so i had to refine the prompt and made several trials till i got close to what i wanted.
