Do we want to improve efficiency, personalize the customer experience, develop new products or services, or something else?

I think the question is too generalized. The specific business goal we want to achieve with AI depends on the context, whether it's improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer experience, creating new products, or gaining deeper insights for decision-making. We should first define the problem we're trying to solve or the opportunity we're aiming to capitalize on.

I'd agree with Danny that if we don't take sufficient time to articulate the specific reason we are using AI and get alignment from all key stakeholders towards that, we are unlikely to hit the mark. Or as the old Lewis Carroll quote says "If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there".
