All four quadrants of emotional intelligence are important. Self-management is important when a stakeholder surprises you by doing something which negatively affects the project. In such cases, managing your emotions so they don't result in a knee-jerk reaction is crucial.

It is simple: you must convince all the stakeholders that they will be more rich with the solution than without the solution, where rich is not more money only. Business analyst is accountable for that. In the project phase of the solution Project manager must help on that.

For me, the most essential skill is the ability to resolve conflicts quickly and effectively. A skilled project manager excels at managing stakeholder conflicts, finding balanced compromises that align with the project’s goals. This requires strong negotiation skills, empathy, and the composure to remain calm under pressure.
