Hello, I have been wondering for a long time what the PMI's perspectives are regarding Disciplined Agile, for example the DA Browser has not been updated since 2022 and no new articles have been published about it. What do you think? Saving Changes...

When the PMI acquired DA it was the first step towards destroying DA. The step was consumed when people like Scott, Mark and Al leave the PMI. I am using DA from the first time it was created as a "suite" with more valuable things than you can see in the PMI "customization". I am using the original version of DA each time it fits for the initiative I am working on. I saw the same behavior of PMI for other things where I was directly involved. Business analysis for example.

Sergio I agree with what you mention, I think it was a good attempt of PMI, but did not have the necessary depth to be really an alternative, I think that is why this union with Agile Alliance®, as an attempt to enter the agile world in which PMI has not yet been able to be seen as a reference.

The PMI has a strategy: to phagocytize roles and disciplines to make them disappear. Evidence are there. Between others: business analysis and DA. PMI is a machine to sell certifications but does not understand that when something is a commodity then lost value. I debate it inside the PMI from more than 40 years ago.
I challenged PMI on this on LinkedIn and got a response from Pierre Le Manh where he did say DA was a decision made by his predecessors and they are looking to "address portfolio inconsistencies". Part of this is reducing the total number of agile certs by emphasizing the PMI-ACP, but as far as the DA IP goes, they are incorporating elements of it in the PMBOK(r) Guide, Eighth Edition and will be launching a revised version of the DA Browser.
So while there has been some loss of direction and thought leadership with Scott & Mark's departure a couple of years ago, I don't see PMI entirely ignoring DA either.

That’s a great question! Disciplined Agile (DA) has been a valuable framework for tailoring Agile approaches to different project environments. If updates have slowed, it would be interesting to know PMI’s long-term vision for DA. Maybe they are focusing on integrating it with other Agile trends or evolving priorities. Have you noticed any shifts in how DA is being used in your projects? Saving Changes...
