Congratulations on earning your PMP certification! It's an impressive achievement and certainly adds credibility to your skillset. However, it's important to clarify that while the PMP certification itself isn't a direct marketing tool to attract clients, it certainly enhances your profile as a qualified professional in the field of project management. Clients will be more likely to trust you with their operational challenges because of the skills and expertise you've demonstrated through PMP.

To attract clients, you'll want to focus on clearly communicating the value your consultancy brings to the table. Highlight how your tailored project management solutions can address the specific operational struggles of SMEs, streamline their processes, and help them deliver better results for their own clients. Demonstrating measurable success through case studies or testimonials can also go a long way in building trust and drawing in potential clients.

Ultimately, it’s your ability to effectively apply your knowledge to solve real business problems that will make your consultancy attractive to SMEs.

Wish you all the best!

Tiago -

A PM credential is not going to open doors for you. Rather, it might ensure that doors don't get shut before you show up.

Testimonials from past clients, a track record of successful delivery, and sufficient similar experience to the projects you are bidding on will all be more valuable.

Tiago, congratulations on this great achievement! I completely agree with Kiron, as I had a similar experience when I started my own side gig. What proved most valuable to me wasn’t the number or type of credentials I held, but rather a proven track record, expertise, and the testimonials and recommendations I received.
