In my recent role as Chief of Logistics in the Tunisian Army, I oversaw complex operations involving resource allocation, crisis management, and equipment readiness. These responsibilities often required swift decision-making and precise coordination under high-stakes conditions.

Reflecting on these experiences, I see immense potential for Artificial Intelligence to transform logistics and supply chain management in similar high-pressure scenarios. For example:

Predictive Analytics: AI could analyze historical data and external factors to forecast supply chain disruptions, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies.
Optimized Resource Allocation: By leveraging AI-powered decision support systems, it’s possible to maximize the efficiency of resource deployment, particularly during time-critical missions.
Dynamic Route Planning: AI could enhance operational efficiency by suggesting optimal transportation routes in real-time, factoring in constraints like weather, terrain, and geopolitical risks.

Given these possibilities, I’m curious to hear from others in the PMI community:

Have you implemented AI-driven tools in your logistics or project management work? What were the outcomes?
What challenges do you foresee when integrating AI into traditionally manual processes?

Just to comment, AI is using in logistic and supply chain from more than 30 years ago. I was in charge of initiatives in the matter from that time working in the largest firms on the world. Take into account that AI is a board term then perhaps some people is using it without being aware on that.
