Has anyone ran into the problem of using Stakeholders as a term.  My team is not liking the word stakeholders, is anyone else having this issue?  Please let me know your thoughts.

Charles,
This topic has come up several times, specifically with respect to the indigenous people of Canada. The term stems from the practice of placing a stake in a piece of land to mark it as your own during the gold rush expansion.

While to most it represents people who have a vested interest in some matter, to others it represents people stealing their native lands.

I've never before heard that, but it makes sense. I'll have to think of a good synonym for 'stakeholders' in case I need it.
